You probably saw some good examples in "UpnOver"'s build.View attachment 275962 View attachment 275963 I took the week off to head down to Greenville with my wife because she has some onsite stuff to do at ECU, but the storm has changed her schedule, so I decided to build an axle stand today. I struggle with fab work and I found out I’m not very good at tube notching either, but I enjoy this kind of stuff. Just have to put some finishing touches on it tomorrow.
I saw one somewhere, don’t remember where, but it was made out of square tubing. I certainly didn’t come up with the idea myself, I’m not creative like that. You probably saw some good examples in "UpnOver"'s build.

Hahahaha! I wish! I’ll prob have this one tore down by then, maybe. It’s starting to look like a Surry co. Junk yard around here...Wendy would definitely be on board with the 12 day turn around!!@Nakoma you got 12 days to get a rig put together before the Fun Caravan. You better get to it!
I can be bribed to come help with bourbon
Heck yeah!! My first question is do you have a title? If so, we can definitely work something out!I don't know if it would be any help, but I do have a 78 2 wheel drive with a decent body sitting around, it's been off the road since 1990. It was driven and parked where it's sitting now.
Sweet!! Old Toyota’s and good titles are like unicorns around here.......I’ll pm you tomorrow and give you my number, I’m only an hour and 15 min from Floyd. Thanks!Title and keys, will require chainsaw and trailer to get out of the "too good to get rid of pile". Lifting or winching is covered by heavy equipment. Let me know it's in Floyd VA. I can get you pictures if you would like.
Thanks Troy! You are a good man! Not many people will help a guy buy an old Toyota! You are a true friend with great character...and that’s hard to find!Trailer and truck, as well as fat boy lifting of ya need it
Are we talking about the 2018 or 2019 caravan? Is it ready for the fun caravan yet?
Okay I see what you’re doing trying to use a kids volleyball game to get more time to finish up a couple things on the truck. Are we talking about the 2018 or 2019 caravan?
Nice work man! You've accomplished a lot more than myself today... these kids of mine are about to drive me to drink (even more).View attachment 278396 View attachment 278397 View attachment 278398 View attachment 278399 View attachment 278400 View attachment 278401 View attachment 278402 I actually had some time today to work on my Toyota situation. So I stripped down the 85 to the frame. It’s in pretty good shape. The dimensions are really similar to the 80 model, but a few differences with motor mounts and cab mounts , no big deal. I reorganized my mess....I hate clutter..and moved the cabs down the hill...Wendy is happier too. The 85 has a W56a 5 speed that i will use and the transfer case I need for my doubler set up. I have a set of 4.7 gears ordered for my main case. It feels good to take a couple steps forward! I also snapped a pic of the L43 4 speed trans out of the 80 model for @rcalexander105 ...its definitely a different! Now it’s time to throw my feet up![emoji481]
Yessir! I like the option of a 2.28 or 4.7 low range! Very unlikely both case in low would be beneficial, but still an option. You going duals with a 4.7 in the rear case?
I've gone back and forth on that in my head for a while. For now, just going to stick with the single 4.7. Hopefully one day I'll make up the difference with the 3RZ swap I really want to do.Yessir!
