Bourbon

Pretty sure BT is Buffalo Trace....

However, if it is indeed Blantons, put me in for a bottle or two. Last bottle I bought came from Kentucky and was $75. Still have over half the bottle left as well.

Just picked up a bottle of Russells Reserve Single Barrel down in SC. Very good drinker neat

It is...but Blanton's comes from the Buffalo Trace distillery...usually see them as a packaged deal, when one drops, so does the other. So I was getting greedy and asking the question beyond the question.

Finally got a bottle, last 1 they had

I’ve had a glass the last 2 nights, very happy with the wait I’ve had trying to get a bottle. I’m also a big fan of the Coopers. Guy at work says he likes it better than a bottle of buffalo trace, I still haven’t got a bottle of it so it’s tbd on my end

Cool story, brah.....

Dude at the bar ordered Whistle Pig's The Boss Hog tonight... $50 / shot. He got two. WTH would you not take the $100 and go buy a bottle yourself?

Assuming you can find it...

I’m not a Whistle Pig fan...but I’ve never seen Boss Hog in an ABC store, where I believe, retail is $99...and buying the bottle would make sense. I’ve only ever seen it in non-ABC states for $4-700/bottle. Similar deal with Pappy...I’ve done Pappy flights for several hundred...but try finding a bottle for less.

I've got a store nearby where the guy won't mark up the bottles. He sells them for what they're supposed to be sold for. He's had to crack down on outsiders. People from out of town know how he sells and they come and buy all he has. Then they turn around and resell it online for the jacked up price. When he finds out who they are they get black balled from the store. He's gone as far as handing out cards to locals so he knows who lives around here.

Was darn good. Was great with my thrown out back. Drinking enough two days this week to sleep decent was a blessing. To bad it didn't correct my spine issues by morning.....and I'm not supposed to drink on the job.

Well it doesn't hurt tonight for the moment.

Opened the 52 year old Ezra Brooks, well it had already been open for who knows how long, the cork actually fell INTO the bottle so it was super dry and air had been getting to it fo some time. Poured out a full glass, no floating surprises but the color was really dark. Smell, well alcohol was really prevalent maybe more turpentine-ish. Fear of lead several co workers passed, I tried it, it wasn't the most horrible thing I had tasted but you could tell it's off. So maybe when I open the race car ezra brooks, (circa 1970) it will be better since it is stored more like wine where the cork stays wet. Eagle rare was my favorite of the bunch.

This is what was in the bags. We were at the zoo in Knoxville and I stopped by Christy's on the same exit. Cool people and they let us have a few tastings before picking.

I know what I said about the white label Yellowstone and I stick by it. I won't buy it again...ever. However, this is a single barrel choosing from the store and definitely had a better flavor. The guy assured me this what night and day different.

The Redemption was tasty in the store. Hand picked single barrel and super smooth. I'm not a huge rye fan but the way this finishes is just nice. What sucks, as with most hand picked barrels, is that it may be the best ever but also has the chance to never be seen again.

The other two are some shit my wife wanted to try because they were cask aged. Whatever. I'll drink it. He'll, I made it through that white label Yellowstone. The only thing about this stuff is that it starts out as 1792 and then it's aged. I'll report back with my judgment.
