Carolina Truggies JK Build

I had these pieces lasered out, here they are from start to finish.
These 2 pieces are 16 gauge carbon and are filling in the large hole from the storage compartment in the rear.

The small holes are there for some plug welds. We dimple died the bottom sheet to give it some good rigidity.

The last two pictures are of the two mostly welded in. I still need to do a little clean up grinding and some welding on the bottom.

You didnt want to hole saw all those?

Its makes it alot easier having a laser down the street dont it? Looks good man keep up the good work.

Yes it sure does. Its so convenient that I've been drawing up several different shock mounts, control arm brackets that you can mount ORIs onto and several other things that no one offers for cheap, plus it will all be local.
Thanks for all the complements guys.

Nice work Alex! You are gonna have one happy customer. :wheel:

I'm not even a Jeep guy, and I'd be proud as hell to drive this thing.

Sweet build! I look forward to more pics.

Kinda, we moved up to the front axle to get it mocked up and at least sitting on its own soon. The front lower link mounts are on and we're mocking up the links and some other things. I'll have some pics of some progress up by the end of the week.
I need input from some people on what to do in the engine compartment.....its a mess in there.

We set up the front end and I didn't like the way it was acting nor some of the measurements we had. So we stripped it all back down to try something a little different. There will be slight sacrifice of ground clearance but it has to be done. This is just about where the axle will sit.
