Charlotte meet/greet (1st & 3rd Fridays)

I'm up here in mooresville, and my rig isnt exactly street legal. So i'll have to trailer it to where ever we meet.

Looks like we may have two meets the way this is going.
Let's keep the one up in UNCC and you S-chlt guys can hang at the sonic down 74 or the hooters down south/485 (I just remembered that they closed the other one near Tyvola)

unless we can agree on somewhere in the middle like Park road or further up south somewhere or even independence.

Heck that gives me an idea, we could even meet in front of all the closed up box buildings on Independence near Harbor Freight!

Hey Ricky, that was you I saw today (with the mud falling off of your truck in the parking lot, haha). I was the guy in jeans and a button up shirt that came in late this afternoon and talked with RJ.

Ill go anywhere if I can find a way around the interstates/highways. I do like the UNCC spot though, 5 min. away from me.

So are we doing the first show at the UNCC and the second show, later in the month, else where??

I don't think there would be room in the hooters PL it is always packed. There is room in the shopping center behind it as Comp USA went under so nobody normally parks by it.

UNCC isn't that bad of a drive from south Charlotte so I can make the first one aswell

A guy I work with stopped there one night to meet up with a friend and got his car stolen.
Just throwing that out there it isn't the greatest place after dark

you know I'm not kidding. That spot would be prime center for all of us. And the lot is always empty. Not the one by Harbor freight exactly, but the one where Infiniti end used to be and that Cigar shop.

Lets nail a spot down for all of us and then split it up once we get big.
 
So has it been decided where it's going to be at? I would like to go (in my dd unfortunatly).
 
so im not going to the one tomorrow. due to the holiday it prob is not going to be a good turn out and ive been to busy with school and work to promote it. the sooner you guys take on some responsibility to help promote this thing the sooner it can get big, i saw at least three pretty nice jeeps today just drivin around so i know there out there. im talking about putting flyers on wind shields talking to clubs and inviting all the jeepers you know every time we have a meet.

Im not sure i like where this is going. Im all for meeting new people that wheel, but if your talking about having a bigass circle-jerk every other week, I dont see the point. Hey, lets all sit around and talk about wheelin in some parking lot i just drove an hour to get to. Why not just go to uwharrie once or twice a month. Its only two hours away for everybody in charlotte, right? Isnt meeting new people to wheel with the purpose of this anyway?

Meet and greet = an hour or two of your time and 10 bucks in gas to get there and back. Make some new friends

Uwharrie trip = burn a vacation day to get out of work. 50 bucks to fuel up tow rig. 30 bucks to fill up rig. 5 bucks trail pass. 10 bucks for drinks and snacks. Eat trail dust driving to the trails and wheel pretty much the whole place in two wheeldrive.

I agree with Matt and Tom both.
Because Tom's rig is huge so URE is like a walk in the park for him but for some of us it's quite fun and still a little bit challenging.
with that said.....
I wouldn't want to come out twice a month.
Let's nail down a spot and come out.
I don't want to throw out other businesses' parking lots without knowing the laws about loitering
but I can think of a few places up Independence (not its not the coliseum area) with big lots for all of us and they are central for most people.

BTW - All of us Isuzus and Suzukis were in URE this weekend so Halloween charlotte meetup was not going to happen anyhow.

Not Friday - that was the 31st of october
That would be this friday meetup - the 7th.

EDIT - xjnmud messed my dates up - sorry - oops.
So where we meeting?
 
I would assume still UNCC unless we can establish another meeting spot that works for everybody or we start up a seperate meet at another location. So were meeting this friday correct?
 
Im cool with friday at uncc as long as someones up for some flying saucer after. I know Lorenzo will have a beer with me.

I still got the tires on from this past weekend.
I'll drive out to UNCC and we can possibly get some good eats in that shopping center near there.
