you have been brain washed to becoming one of them.....sad sad sad, I thought we could be wheeling buddies since you're in Boone but nah, don't need guys like you either.

All I can do is laugh at all this ridiculousness. Have you ever stopped to think that You are the one wrong about something, not just everyone else?

OK guys, several times here you have invited this douche to the flats, for the next invite. The invite that is really big on attendance.
Now, we all know how congested the trails get with folks just normally hitting the good stuff, so, Is this a Jeep you REALLY desire to see out there? WE have helped in the past, but we do not officially provide extraction services. So, Who is going to drag this Jeep off the trail? It won't be me. Think about what you are saying,....please.

I am wondering what part of this build is Aaron doing? Yes he's a friend who I used to ride with when he was in one of the clubs I am in. Putting the doubler together? Yeah I can see that. doublers are bad ass, I ran one for a couple years, I have no problems with that. But anyone on here can tell you, my driving style has for many years to "creep" up stuff. So if you think gears are the end all do all, then stick to your belief. It works on some stuff, but, not on all.

If you do happen to come to The Flats, let me recommend a course for you. Start in the parking lot, go out toward the playground, turn left, just past big gulley's, there is some rocks on the right, go up those rocks, this will put you in the playground. From there, take the trail to the left of the big hill, it goes up the a sharp right, keep going up till you come to an opening. Bear to the left, that will bring you to the upper Flats. Look to the right, there will be some hill climbs over there, just to the left of the "jump" there is a wall. You can make that, I saw a friend do it in an XJ on 31's. After you are at the top of that. go straight. At the bottom of the hill turn left, and then take the first right, then the first right, this will bring you out at a small log bridge. Take a hard left(don't go across the bridge) and you are at the bottom of easy street. Go up Easy st till it forks, take the right fork, the left is only for those on small tires. Once back up on trail one, take a left, loop up and around to the second left, that is old stumpy, turn in there, and once at the top, turn right. The first left is No way, and the second left has yet to be named, either one of those will bring you out to where you need to take a left, follow that road to the end. If you have made it that far, let me know.

I hope to be able to come this summer, seriously! if i can i will. and as far as Aaron goes, all I said was he's been supportive enough to build confidence in me that it's workable with the right person, not all people is what i said. and that he's not tearing me down and telling me I'm stupid for the thought or that I'm endangering people's lives....that's all I said and that's the kind of support that any good person would give and show. The rest of what you guys call support is not support and IF HE HAD SAID I'm stupid for the thought, I wouldn't have done it and moved on to something more doable with the money. It was a decision between 5.13 gears with better axles or doubler and he said according to my style of wheeling go with doubler that it would perform better and I'd be happier so that's how my jeep is what it is now. FYI

I may be wrong, but I am thinking if you argued with Aaron like you have here, then he probably said what he said to just get rid of you. Aaron don't make money talking. You remind me of a character in a movie. Ever seen "Million Dollar Baby"?
You are so much like the guy they called "danger"

All I can do is laugh at all this ridiculousness. Have you ever stopped to think that You are the one wrong about something, not just everyone else?
I'm not wrong about anything and neither is anyone else on here dude. Everyone is entitle to their opinions and that's all this is. Mine work for me, yours works for you, his and hers do or don't for them.........period. Nobody can ever have a fact about any rig and it's capability because they are all different. It's like most people call them ExPLODERS but yet some of them have run for 300K original and not one issue. Every truck is built different because after all, humans built it not God therefore we cannot perfect any machine to last or perform the exact same every time. I guess I've just always been blessed with my jeeps to not have such bad luck but I've had my share of gearbox rippage, steering breakage, caliper failures, front axle u-joints breaks, and other misc. things go wrong but I just said I've never experienced the breakage that everyone talks about or axle tubes bending and stuff because I'm not that hard on my jeeps so .............point made.

Now I have this idiot figured out.

He buys a cherokee, cuts the fenders out & lifts it a little stuffs as big of a tire as he can under it. Then he sells it to some unsuspecting kid out of high school for twice whats it's worth. Filling the kids head full of shit in the process on how badass the cherokee is.

Now the kid goes to harlan, breaks right away. Tries to stop in traffic & kills somebody or himself.

Putting people in danger, lieing to the kid. lowest of the low.

Your a sad pathetic individual....

No, why would we argue? I asked his advise on this build idea, he gave me the pros and cons, but in the end he said my style would benefit from this. and no he's not the shut up and leave type of guy, for long time now he's been very helpful to me and always took his time of day to discuss tech with me. Like I said, he supports me with my build and will be the one who will put a 44 down the road in for me but never has he doubted that my setup for now is rediculous.

" DD also " should'nt that be maybe half of 1 day, or does it stand for dead driver for the poor sap that might buy it? I wasn't aware that trying to help people not hurt themselves or others by trying to give advice against dangerous ideas was called " hateing". Are you sure your not 16? cause you talk trash just like a young boy who knows nothing about what he's talking about but's absolulty sure he's right anyway and you've done alot of bragging about alot of stuff here, another trait of young dumbass hotshots i've seen many, many times before. I guess we wo'nt be seeing any of that video you said you'd post of the rig in action?? Since your so smart, you must be aware that if you sell your deathtraps to peeps who know about as much as you do about safety and recommend they drive them on the street you could be responsible for their injuries/deaths right? I "hate" your taste in customizing, who would pimp an Escort? and I hate what you did to that yellow XJ,( all my opinions,) and I hate to see anyone get hurt or worse in an avoidable accident and have seen plenty of that, but I do'nt hate you I just think your're an idiot that needs to think about the real consequences of what you're doing, endangering yourself and others for reasons I can't comprehend

You're right, I'm just not going to his probably illegal wheeling spot to watch him break.

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH, i'll get pics up as soon as i get to out to play with it. You're just scared...sissy...pissy...hater...If all I built were death traps than why am I still alive 12 years later. Think before you speak. Nobody's asked you to drive my jeep, not that you could handle it obviously, so piss off. You're scared and that's ok. Wranglers scare me so I don't drive or build them....so what..i don't go hating on them though.

well we aren't all fortunate to have our own land, convenient place to wheel, or money for diesel with trailer to go places so we manage what we can and take care of the land we wheel on. I've cleaned up after so many drunks who trash the trails with beer and parts and that's the reason why they shut them down. All Boone has is the Glades which ain't much but it's something since Callantte got shut down. I quit Richlands long time ago ever since i heard of bad shooting there.

I have not read entire thread, can't deal with that much that dumb stuff. If you have 13 years of wheeling you should already know 90% of what these guys are telling you. At first no one bashed you ,until your started beating your chest. You will always end up being the bigger man in life if you can admit when your wrong.
I have own a few xj's and zj's in my life , right now I have a 98 xj with a d44 in rear and d30 up front on 35. I will be swapping out the d 30 once money is right. even with chromo I do not trust d30. I have broken 100's of shafts over the years from wheeling hard and trying to cross a small ditch. learn from the guys that have real time experience in this. Most of the guy who have big rigs Built them really not much money invested more time and blood.
Mods I believe it is past time to lock thread before we hurt the new wheelers feelings and lose and wheeler.
I would leave it up so maybe a new wheeler can learn from it.

I've just read this entire thread and I wish I had made some popcorn, for the record I'm on 31's on a locked d30/open d35 combo with woeful 3.07 gearing. I'll not have a tire mounted an inch bigger until I get an 8.8 installed strictly because of axle strength, gearing, and the nearly useless Dana 35 drum brakes. I honestly do wheel my TJ hard with tiny tires, I follow buddies with much larger jeeps and do personally pride myself on going through the trails I do with small tires and very little lift. What I do takes driving skill and practice, but doing it with 38 inch tires would just be ignorant and if anything make it nearly impossible, I've been d35's break accelerating from stop lights on 33's and I'm not chancing that while climbing Daniel or while wheeling anywhere out of pull a parts parking lot. The guys on this forum are giving simple advise, it may seen cruel but for safety's sake please take their advise, apart from all that nobody wants to drive an hour to a OHV park and sit around while some guy tries to ratchet strap his broke Dana 35 together. And nobody wants to see all the gear oil you spill on the trail when you attempt to replace your broke rear axle (if you actually wheel with spares).

With that said if anybody see's me grenaded on the trail I would appreciate anyone's attempt to help an educated jeeper.

I'm trying to find this place around Boone called "pawn mt." i heard it connects to Caliente all the way to jefferson and it's pretty hard core but haven't found any responses back on it yet. Anyone heard of it?? sounds good enough to test out new jeep

New wheelers will leave the minute you tell them their xj or zj is junk for big tires because now you've discouraged him and taken away his joy in what he looked forward to. STOP saying safety, your posts aren't safe, my jeep is perfectly safe. I do just fine at 35 to get to where I need to go and back.

No way you've been wheeling this type of shit for 12 years w no bad consequences I think you've been lucky for a short while lately from your replies.......12 whopping years of experience oooooooooooooooooo................I guess you started wheeling when you were 4 ? I wish you could think before you speak, but you obviously cannot " think " at all. Why's your awesome rig for sale? you hav'nt even wheeled it yet?

YES I KNOW WHAT EVERYONE IS SAYING , DUHHHH, I just don't agree that it's that extreme and dangerous. All I'm saying is not everybody HAS TO GO to 44s and 60s and stuff. We can wheel with smaller stuff, just have to be SMARTER and not drive through crazy stuff and go 60mph on the street. But we can still trail ride, follow everyone else just go around crazy stuff or what I like to call CREEPY CRAWL through and if that don't work, well back up and watch the other guys and move around.

It's also how i make a living for my family yo. I wheel it until i sell it. took 9 months to sell yellow one and made some extra cash plus money to build this one and that's also how i learn what different setup works. From this yellow one i learned 12"lift and 39.5s was too big and top heavy and didn't want to wheel it so i sold it and wanted to build this. and i guess you didn't read my post of what i've broken over the years....

You sold it knowing it was top heavy & dangerous...

Does you sleep well at night?

...............not to mention BUTT UGLY, I was serious when I said I would'nt drive it to the mall, even wearing a disguise. I'm guessing it was sold because it was a deathtrap and useless for anything but mallcrawlin or making other Xj owners puke in their mouths.

I knew it too

I'm happy to know the kid took it to Richlands next day and almost buried it in a creek up to the tires until he figured out how to lock the DIsco in for front axle then romped it out like hell and He is happiest as I've ever heard with that jeep. More to the point, you would take that kids joy away from the sport if you all got a hold of him and that's what I can't stand about this thread and ur stupid axle comments and "danger" comments. I gave him the test drive, told him the pros and cons of the jeep, showed him the power and ability of it, notified him of what to look out for and how to best use what he's buying. What he's done with it since is not my bad because that's on his free will to be smart or dumb. So far I believe he's still wheeling and dealing last he called me so...
