Frankenstein Street Queen (a.k.a. SpeedBump)

Need me to come over?

I gotcha honky.

I would grind those welds out and do them over after some practice. Crossmember weld failure would be catastrophic. Just my 2 cents.

I'm going to bolt up a skid plate before driving so even if it fails there won't be a drop. I plan to drive to to someone with a welder and pull it out and have them help redo it or strengthen it

@XJsavage I would gladly take you up on that offer if I had a 220 connection!

You got a stove within 50' of the Jeep and I got the rest. Dad's going in for surgery#2 and my work schedule is gonna have me between Charlotte and Charleston for a good week solid but I'll see what I can pull off.

Routed the belt

Installed a new tower seal on the shifter. It was oh so nice separating a shifter that didn't have a rust issue

Installed the coil packs

Broke off a intake bolt in the head due to false torque specs on internets. #dummy that is the first time an extracted bit ever worked for me. So thankful!!!

Did some more welding on the CM

Filled front and rear diffs with fluids. Filled the oil filter and filled the engine with oil.

Dude. You're awesome! I would be very grateful and happy to toss gas money and beer your way! Yeah we could easily pull the dryer out. Do I need to get a conversion plug?

I should already have it.

That might be more economical, especially if I end up working this weekend in Charleston. (can't turn down a few hundred bucks).

Pulled the heart out of the Jeep. Cut off all but two of the body mount bolts. Need to buy more cutting wheels. I shattered two per bolt! Argh!

The 258 looked so much better than I thought it would! Would need to take a mic to the bearingjournals but I think it's been rebuilt. The valve seats were just a little too perfect. Also could have sworn I had #6 blowby it was too clean!

If you haven't found a welder for your steering linkage and stuff, I should be mobile this afternoon and can head up to Asheville some time this evening.

@XJsavage came by and we got some killer welds laid and then mounted up the finished and painted CM. Oorahh! Great guy and was awesome to meet!

This eBay header was hitting the frame mount hard. So swapped with another eBay header and was soooooo close

Got the pitman arm reamed! Man that was a workout! How awesome was it that @XJsavage just happened to have one handy?!?

And of course had to to do a quick pass over my subpar welds but all good to go! The CM painted and mounted! Tcase clears like it came from the factory!!! And the trans drop to do this awesome idea @Jody Treadway had got the Tcase to clear the body by an estimated two inches at a flat clock.
