Primed the other head. Starting to tape off for final paint. Then time to start putting it all together!
So it's not just me then. I wonder sometimes if those bolts are preset to break at 40k miles like clockwork.
And bro. I'd pull that oil pan just to give a good look at everything low before I went all ham.. Just speaking from experience. Rather the engine ran or not. Best to check it.
When you get to doing the first crank up on this engine, I have a neat trick to priming the oil pump to get it to pick up the oil. I can't thank the minds on this board enough for teaching it to me. It involves a tub of Vaseline, a tight hole and a finger, all while laying in any position you prefer.
Seriously it works.
LUBE.. lol lots and lots of lube.
Cram into hole generously, or vigorously.and where shall i put this lube?
I'm totally coming over with some shrooms.
Nice! Doing my pan a dark grey along with the timing cover and Heads. Was not fun cleaning that thing.. OMFG.. many wire brush wheels on my exterior parts. The aluminum gets that "white crap" all over it when sitting for a while. Like your painting though.. Nice choice of color and nicely done.
