now what the hell is going on? i leave tellico sunday and gas is in the $3.70 range and theirs plenty of it i get to asheville and everyones freaking out and theirs an hour wait at the pumps. i thought the hurricaine crap was over and their was not any supply problems.i think state/news/or someone needs to start checking tanks to see if the stations are doing this together to jack the price.

My sister n law just come from Marshall, she said no gas anywhere on her route, she had to wait till she got to the truck stop in Marion(Loves) till she could get some @ $3.95!
I filled up this morning in Morganton and it was same as in Hickory @ $3.89. no lines or waiting
 
Starting to see some stations in Graham that are out but the truck stops in Mebane are $3.59-$3.65 with no lines. News this morning was talking about a temp. shortage of 89 and 91 because the 87 was the first to get back online.
 
Their is a slight shortage. The station I work at had been on a list to get gas since Thursday, and we just got 1,500 gallons Sunday night. After they get the pipeline back online this week it will all be the past though. Assuming oil doesn't shoot back up.
 
Black Mountain NC is out. Asheville has very few stations with gas. I live south of Asheville and few stations has gas south also. Had a friend wait in line for two hours this AM. There is no rationing...so people were filling their cars and multiple cans geting all they could, which is why it took so long for the line to move. :shaking:

I'd bet 90% of the stations that are "out" have some left. They are looking out for themselves. What if their is an actual shortage, and the employees run out of gas and can't get to work? Don't knock a station owner, it's their gas, they don't have to do anything with it.
 
6 pac on us70 in swannanoa has gas. they are closed but the lights in the pumps were on and my nephew pulled the bag and used his card fill up. i guess the little rag head should have made sure his pumps were shut off. we have called everyone we knew that was on empty so i hope by morning he really is out of gas!

I've been wondering...

the Wilco/Hess near my house is sitting at 3.89, however 8 miles away the Wilco/Hess it's sitting at $3.55.

Same company, Same fuel, coming from the same place. I find it funny.
 
WTF?? I have watched this thread all weekend and through the week and wondered where you people where. Then today, the damn Kangaroo station down the street has a line 3 blocks long and half of Denver is out of fuel. Isn't the hurricane gone?? Someone, somewhere is :fuck-you:ing us.
 
The Pilot in Mebane droped to $3.57 today. Some stations in graham are still " out ". I aint no economist but i'm pretty sure when the supply drops the price goes up. This tells me there is not a problem with supply.
 
Any gas in the N. wlikesboro/boone area? Mom and dad are heading up this weekend if they can get gas.
 
i rode from winston to Mt. airy to Yadkinville to Advance yesterday and didnt see any lines or shortages. i think booneville was as close as i got to north wilkesboro but didnt seem to be a problem that far. just a little high at $3.89 most places.
