"Gonna do it right...maybe!!??" Fuller's new XJ build!!!

Full hydro is simple. Just mount thew ram and hook your power steering hoses to it. Viola! power steering!

This is definitely the route I'm gonna save for!

You might need a 'orbital valve with return to center' but I think there's a way around it, kinda like how you can wire a 3 wire well pump to use two wires without a control box. :shaking: stupid lies associate I mean Lowes associate.

No doors. No hood latched. No front fenders. Leaf springs on all corners.

Dude I'll be surprised if this XJ even flexes a dozen times before the roof and unibody fold like a taco. My Cherokee has cracks in the corners of the roof and it has plenty of bracing besides frame rail reinforcement.

Well we will discuss all that once I start gathering all the parts!

What's an orbital, does it circle the jeep? Then go to the center?

Since double sided rams are pretty much same price, is it not worth going full hydro steer

Now you are catching on.
Single ended ram equals hydro assist. Double ended ram equals full hydro.

Two trailer park girls go round the outside, round the outside...

damn you...that joke now has that POS stuck in my head.

I need some updates. I'm getting bored.

Well the update is........uhhhh....need a trailer to take it out and test it out a little...or a lot lol. We moved, settled in and haven't touched it. It just needs a test run to see how it does and go from there....
Figured steering play will work if I just unlock drivers side hub while driving around and lock it in once lined up the trail (slow crawling turns good but moving any descent speed while locked in and the dead spot play is really noticeable)....
So that's the update lol

The most well put together response I have ever read by JF. Someone frame this :)

Right next to Robinson building supply
10-4. Im sure you have checked them out but they are a good resource for building materials.

There are a number of us in the area if you need any assistance.

Man Im so glad you moved away with that thing. I have tried for years to give you the benefit of the doubt but Man with that gas tank mount and your talk of rigged hydro steering I was scared to be living around you! So thank you from all of the York county and Clover Residents.

On the contrary, I was hoping JFull still lived there! I was rolling through the area recently and felt like stopping by.

I will say I felt that same man. When I saw he had moved to Clover I was excited lol. I wanted to meet him and see what he was really about. John I still hope we meet someday but please just start listening to advice and answers to questions that you asked.

He's a visual learner. Advise from strangers in form of only words is hard to take in for some. He would have to see it in person, everything from welding technique to explanation of steering and suspension geometry, etc. Simply put, the guy has great hands and a work ethic that is very admirable. That's one hell of a good foundation for a good fabricator.
I'm willing to help in anyway I can, because I have a strong feeling (familiarity) about something, way more than just speculation.
JF is mildly autistic. In adults its called Asperger's. Most that have it do not even know it. There is a very good reason I noticed.
