"Gonna do it right...maybe!!??" Fuller's new XJ build!!!

Yeah. Those beavers think they have all the answers but they have very little practical experience.
Haha my issues with most things that are engineered is they're not the ones that are going to be fixing them so they usually don't care if it's a good design or if it's a poor design or if it's going to be a pain in the ass to fix design lol

Not always the engineers fault, there are these things called design constraints.

I also wanna say the idiot who designed these Dodge unit bearings is a tard..some engineer he is. Replacing the lug studs was about dam near retarted as I've ever seen...dam engineers think they so smart

Air hammer.

Cost like $30 at the parts house. This thing is smooth as butter installing wheel studs

I usually use a steel spacer from McMaster and a couple of washers for extra bearing area. I use a plain nut because it's disposable (chew it up with an impact and throw it away), and flat (no conical seat needed on the spacer), and open-ended, so there's no depth limits like a closed-end lug nut. It's the same principle as the stud installation/removal kits, they have a bunch of different spacers to get the length in the ballpark.

I use about a 1" ID nut over the wheel stud with a disposable lugnut. The lug taper will easily turn inside the rounded inside edge of the nut. Total cost- $2
I messed up couple lug nuts not following this procedure..stupid

That's why you only sacrifice ONE lug nut. Doesn't have to be pretty, just has to work. Isn't that the theme with this entire build anyway?

Well, everything is a hammer....except a screwdriver, that's a chisel. You can still use the other end as a hammer though!

This sucks monkey a**..I have to take apart all the calipers to try and unseize them, so much for being close to done :kaioken:

Just rebuild them. Easy money.

Caliper slide pins or the caliper pistons?
Pistons are completely seized. I was hoping they would unseize moving it but it didn't hardly move under throttle. Just sucks cause it's all 4...I'm so frustrated with this thing, one thing after another

Btw, is the 44 CAD guts same size as the 60? Someone has couple of those , thanks bud

Haha that's the problem is I've gone over budget already and now 4 calipers seized not good..hope I can unseize em and make em work. On jeeps I've had good luck doing it but don't know bout these yet
