Here come the hurricanes!

Didn't take long for the Low Life, Non Working residents in Wilmington, to Crash & Loot their Family Dollar Store! And right across from where Charlotte's Channel 9 was filming. Then a Whole Crowd formed & pretty much told the Black Reporter, to get the Hell Out! Family Dollar said they Wouldn't prosecute, just leave them be. Guess that's the Only customers FD gets in that store. :shaking:

If you're gonna break the law, swing for the fences and loot the.....

...Family Dollar?

Did some stuff this morning, and told the wife that we would likely need to limit the septic tank use because the yard might pond over the septic field today. Clearly I hadn't explained myself well. I came home and she had done 3 loads of laundry, ran the dishwasher, cleaned the dishes in the sink, and took a shower.

I totally get where you are coming from with the septic system and coming storm.

But if I had a wife who did that much house work, I would be thrilled!!!!!!

Give her an adderall for breakfast.....

All good in north western Gaston county at 3:30am. Had a good party going at a friends house but you can’t have a hurricane party without a hurricane!

Made my blood boil how a couple local Charlotte news stations said, “it was a shame how some local people had already resorted to looting for the necessities to survive”. In reference to Wilmington.

Yeah, trigger me....

Only up to 2.25" of rain at my house.

New Bern did get it pretty rough, there's no denying that. I don't know if it's the worst flooding they've ever had, but it's some of the worst I've ever seen. Havelock, Newport, Morehead, Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle...they got hammered as well. I'm slowly starting to see pictures on Facebook as people start getting back to their places.

Light consistent rain and pretty good wind gust here in Bostic. Guessing 30-35mph gust, which is a lot for here. Power has flickered some. As long as trees stay off power lines, all will be good. Now I hope tractor supply is open so I can get some bush hog repair parts.

1.5” of rain since Friday morning. A little breezy but not too bad. Power went out briefly on Thursday afternoon but was back on in minutes. Just waiting for the other shoe to drop - hoping that it doesn’t.

Don't worry everyone. According to my manager at work anyone prepping for this is a fool it's not even going to make landfall. It's just a false alarm like they always do for hurricanes or snow.

Hey Tim, just wanted to check back in. What's your Boss got to say NOW? :stupid:
Murdock: I wish I could just jump in the water and live like a fish.

B.A. Baracus: Shut up fool, you ain't no fish!

Not sure. He actually let us leave at 430 Thurs because we had no customers and all the parts stores closed. He told me to call Fri since both the office lady and I live the farthest out. He, his son and the other mechanic all live within a mile. Fri he told me by phone at 730am to just stay home and he'd call if they got busy. The other mechanic said they sat there til 10am and left. Only plugged one tire. It was his Saturday to work, we rotate, he showed up at 8am but went home at 9.

I plan on trying to get there tomorrow mostly because I'm starting to go stir-crazy. Not sure if I can get there though because all the flooding here. I'm technically under a mandatory evacuation order as I live within a mile of the little river on the Harnett/Cumberland Co line, but my neighborhood is 100 feet above the bridge at the county line. All the backroads north of me are closed due to flooding, Wral was live at a water rescue 3 miles north of my neighborhood last night on Elliot Bridge Road. The bridge had water touching it last time, they predict 6 or 7 feet higher this time. If us401 closes due to flooding in front of the Goodyear tire plant like usual I'll only have one other road open to get out of here to work, but it goes through Fort Bragg near a low swampy area. I may be on an island by tonight!

If I make it to work I'll report back what he has to say about all this.

We just started the "big fat rain". Spoken as Forest.

The fish are happy.

News just posted 4.7” here so far. I don’t think we’ve had that much but I’m not the weather man either.

Pigeon has come up probably 2-3 ft. But still has 6-7 ft to come up before everyone in Clyde is gonna have problems , it’s across the road in a couple places already
