Here come the hurricanes!

JoCo and Wake on the eastern side of the storm so rain should be epic. Saying it could rain for 30 hrs, 20".....

I was without power 8 days after Fran. I will have my terminal mom here with O2 requirements and I am scared. We have several tanks and an O2 condenser so I need to keep Gennie up as long as possible.

I am seriously concerned. I have 19 gallons gasoline. No more tanks available.

I generate around 70 35lb cooking oil jus daily. They make great fuel storage in a pinch. They're HDPE so the gas doesn't eat them and they'll last for over a year before they get brittle. HMU if you would like some. I'm 15min's from smithfield.

You may want to consider notifying Emergency Services, & or you closest Fire Department! They can put you on a Priority List. Power company may can do the same.

I heard Atlanta and Charlotte speedways are opening the campground for free to any evacuees. I've not done any fact checking on that, just mentioning I saw it on the book of faces if anyone needs a place to park.

Tonya told me they told about Bristol on the 6 o’clock news.I know it’s a stretch for most folks but if you guys need somewhere to park something for a while I have some room.

They're saying that it's shifting even further south now and that it will stall just off the coast.

Yeah my area was originally 13”+ of rain, just saw this morning where now they said we may get less than 2”. The further south it goes the less we will get here. The coast will still get hit hard.

Sounds bad but I’m a little bummed. I’ve always loved a good storm, now it’s just gonna be a plain ole rainy weekend.

"free" but still charging for hookups in ATL is what I heard. But still nice to do.

There are enough of us in town thy can help. Somebody will have power and access to gas. Post up how you guys are looking after the storm and I am sure we can all help.

Yup, saw 3-5" for my area. Heck, I got 3.5" last Sat night, and another 1" last night. Business as usual around here. Other than my son's school announced yesterday that they will be closed Friday due to the stormo_O

Forecast tracks are garbage. I'll believe a track after its already ran it. You guys remember that right hook Mathew was supposed to make out into the Atlantic? Yeah that shit didn't happen. Sucker stalled and we got 15" of rain when we were supposed to have gotten half.

I know what you mean. I don't want anything bad, but I love a good storm especially when I don't have to get out in it and can enjoy it from home.

I get really frustrated by the water hoarding thing.
Especially people who live in the city - even when the power goes out you're going to have water pressure!
But then, instead of going to WalMart and buying 40 1-oz bottles of water... just plan the fuck ahead and FILL UP YOURO OWN DAMN WATER NOW. You've got 3+ days of warning. If you're too paranoid to just leave a tub outside to let it fill up naturally.... buy a $5 plastic tote and fill it and leave in your bathroom.
