How's your morning going?

Finished up the shop AC. 55 degree water from adjacent quarry is pumped through this old GMC stationary generator radiator.

No good pics as its in a tight spot between storage areas.

Going to pipe another coil and fan on the smaller side of shop also.
Wouldn't be to hard to make an evaporative cooler on the outside either.... Hmmmm I've got a couple old radiators and a pond pump....

Woke up Sunday morning with this staring back at me in the mirror...

And now this was looking back at me this morning...

I woke up after my first night of actually BREATHING refreshed

Had these "stints" removed from my nostrils yesterday following septum surgery last tuesday

I THOUGHT they were just tubing shoved up each nostril. I had no idea they were mounted to such a HUGE flat plate that rested against my septum and were stitched together up in there. Needless to say the removal was quite fantastic and the relief felt immediately made the entire week of misery worth it. And that's saying a lot. Last week was like compressing my entire 1st marriage (10yrs) into 5 days of absolute torture

Septum surgery? Injury to your nose, or has it been messed up your whole life and you finally decided to get it fixed?

When they were pulling mine out I wanted to yell "pull faster damn it". The vacuuming is a relief too though it felt like they were trying to suck out my eyeballs from the back.
Enjoy the breathing!

This thread is terrible.

While my nose is perfectly straight on the outside....it's crooked as hell on the inside (kinda like me) deadpool unicorn.jpg

Always has been. Right side pinched and septum looked like a mountain road apparently. He removed a dorito shaped piece of my septum, leaving only a portion...enough to support the shape and tip, then basically ran a finger-size drill bit up each nostril to remove the "conchae" tissue (those finger looking things in your sinuses) he essentially reshaped that lower one. I shoulda got it fixed when I was a teen, but one of my mom's friends got it done, and hearing him describe the Dr pulling out the packing like a clown handkerchief, the pain, the blood...etc I said NO WAY!! Even though mom reminded me Dan was a pussy....still, I wanted no part of that.

Fastforward 30+ years and I have to sleep on my stomach with my head buried into my arm to stretch my cheek enough to breathe thru my nose. Years of that caused massive pressure on my right eye which ultimately lead to glaucoma and me losing +/-30% of the vision in my right eye....basically, this is what I see out of my right eye compared to what you normally see now

It's getting worse....and so I don't want it to progress....so I HAVE to stop putting pressure on that eye.

NOW I can sleep on my side and breathe

late to the party.. but after doing way to much work outside over the weekend, I did get to work in the house for about 3 hrs working on bike for my son..

he really wanted a camo colored frame but knew that no one made one so I contacted a few freinds and one of them printed me a camo design on vehicle wrap material..

here is the idea I was going for

My weekend project was painting our almost completed upstairs. Tomorrow the carpet goes in and then the final inspection. Been a long time coming, I started finishing this upstairs off shortly after we moved in but the business took away my time and it sat after I had done the electrical and about 99% of the framing. Eventually we just paid a friend to come in and do the sheetrock and finish carpentry. Over the weekend my wife and I painted it all, pretty happy so far. Can't wait to get the inspection and start moving furniture up there.
