Is this for real, URE race?

As a CTB member, I've not seen or heard ANYTHING about this in any club mailings or communications. I'm sure this is being looked at as I type..

It sounds cool and all, but what you guys fail to see is that, "WE" could on our own hold a 'ride' where anyone could show up and 'race' one the trails. It would be easy to do if you had enough ppl interested, send a few scouts to clear the paths off and 'hold' (not block :D) the intersections for a while..

But then again there wasn't even enough interest in the last rock race at DPG to hold that... Maybe URE is more everyone speed.... (pun intended)

Dust Bowl or Mud Slick, that what I think...

What he said. Not to mention there is almost no way they would be able to get a permit to do this at URE.



:edit: Sounds like mike overcast and the cabo 500.

I think a lot of us would pay for him to trash his junk at full speed and copies of the video. Of course that's assuming you can find a vid camera that would stand up to the "slight jostling" occuring during said high speed run. :lol:

Of course there is NO WAY they could EVER get insurance for an event like this not requiring at least full harnesses/roll cages and a lot of legal waivers. (Think Pike's peak)
Idiots in a ford escape would die.
(or a kia/honda/jeep patriot/random other vehicle)
Or the TRUE ricky bobby's of the world in that beat to hell truck with a LOT of horse power.


Or this could be a ploy for someone in Troy that bought 100 d35 shafts and wants a way to sell them all in 1 day? :D

my navigator called the URE Ranger, spoke with Tim Penny. He said Shawn Sallitte from American Wheeler had a special use permit for that weekend.

Ah, but MAN imagine how beautiful thsi will be if we get one of those random May hellacious storms beforehand.... mud city...
