Lil' Smoke kid mini buggy rock crawler

lol.

It's at Trevor's place at DPG getting custom clutches and carb set up at the moment. He should have it running within a few days and then it's a matter of playing with springs and weights on the CVT. :D

Then it's headed back down to Mars Fab to get completed turn key.

It all looks the same, just new motor parts.

Only fairly recent pic is of it loaded up on the trailer in my driveway just before it was taken to DPG to have engine work done. I added some extensions on the trailer with some 2" receivers and it can come on and off when not in use. The buggy OAL is about 108". Just a couple inches over width. I should be able to put my big buggy on the trailer with mini on there sideways.

Well I got video proof earlier today that it runs. Runs pretty good. New custom carb was spot on. Compression is good through all rpms! Other than an new throttle cable and a solenoid, it's ready for some springs and weights in the CVT and should be ready to head to Mars Fab soon to get finished up!

Awesome build!!! That helm pump, hydraulic manual steering boat pump, is a really cool idea!!! I am very interested to know how it handles all around. It could hopefully work well on a mini buggy I plan on building soon. Any specs on what size pump you used to work with the ram? Thanks. :)

I used a Seastar 1.4 helm pump. Should be plenty for this light rig and small tires.
