Man, makes me think he should have just built modular/plate built frame vs covering all the tube with sheetmetal. It looks badass, but I really liked the tubework also.

Simply amazing.

Keep in mind that the sheet metal on this one is pretty extreme and would add a fair bit to the total cost. It doesn't HAVE to be this fancy. I could easily do simple flat skins, roof and hood for a fair amount less money. Seems like a lot of guys on Facebook are getting hung up on the cost of the sheet metal work so I just want it to be clear to everyone that you don't necessarily have to go so far with it. I also understand that a lot of guys want to do some of the work themselves. I don't have a problem with selling the chassis, chassis as a roller or even complete minus paint, plumbing and wiring. The only thing I ask is that you have your drivetrain before we start. There are so many different power plant combinations that I couldn't really build the chassis without it.

Not especially. I've spent more time dishing out info to tire kickers than anything. 90% of the time I work by my self. I have so much work right now that I can't keep up as it is. Unfortunately I turn a lot away just so I don't over schedule and end up pissing off the customers I already have.
I've thought hard about hiring help but so much of my work is custom stuff not mindless installs and simple part building that a lot of other shops do to keep employees busy and roll in money. The only way I could benefit from hiring help with what I have scheduled for the next few months would be to bring on someone who can do everything I can do and has the same vision I have. That person has proven to be elusive or already owns their own shop.
