I like how there is zero info or any real story here, so 75% of the text is about how the two ladies are friends.
The rest is for your imagination ;)

Man. Anybody else feel like they were born in the wrong generation?

Ain't that the truth. Nowadays the teachers having sex with students look pretty darn hot. Teachers in my day looked like Maude.

Just going to leave this here:

I have tremendous sympathy for people who accidentally leave their infant in a car because as a busy parent, I can see how it could happen, BUT to do it out of convenience, on a 93 degree day, and be in the store for 40 minutes?!?!?! Yeah, I get she had the windows down, and thank goodness she did. But she was in the store 40 minutes and STILL IN THERE when the cops when and got her.

And this little gem:
"“They harass my child every time they stop her; I am tired of this,” Colette Price said. "
I wonder why they keep stopping her? Just to harass her?

I have no sympathy for the parent, and all the sympathy for the child. If you have to put a shoe or a bag or whatever beside your child so you remember them, you don't need the kid. As far as I'm concerned, any parent who "forgets" their child like that should be locked up and left in the same condition.

was it an altima? i mean, if the shoe fits.

go to any lower tier gtocery store at any time of the day......and check out the beat up explorers, altimas, malibus, kias, honda crosstours, mitsubishis, impalas that are parked in the 'no parking, fire lane' area in front of the store.

no one says a thing to them, even as they sit in the car waiting for their passenger. soemtimes the cars are empty. sometimes its just kids. check out the hose beasts that get out of those cars. should we expect anything different?

im not surprised at anything anymore.

Thankfully I now have 3 contributing adult children with careers and homes of their own. So I guess I did something right. However, one summer, when the oldest 2 were out of school, It was my turn to take them to the sitter. She lived 12 miles away west. And at the time I was working as a contractor 15 miles north of our home. I was driving a company owned 99 silverado single cab long bed. I had my son in a booster seat next to me, and my daughter in a full on childs seat on the other side of my son. I was damn near to the office with them RIGHT BESIDE OF ME before I realize I done fugged up :gtfo:

So I can sympathize with someone who has made that near mistake, and can understand the need for a reminder. None of my kids slept thru the night. So I spent most of my 20's as a zombie that was always exhausted, and had a foggy brain in the am.

We all make mistakes. But some things are inexcusable.

I hope it never happens to you. You'll have to lock yourself in the car. And I think many parents who do this on accident want to kill themselves, so it checks out.

I'm not talking about the ones who do it on purpose. I'm talking about the ones who do it completely on accident and have to live with it the rest of their life. It happened to someone I know’s daughter a couple years ago. He is missing a granddaughter for the rest of his life, and his daughter struggles with it every day.

Absolutely. Just because it is inexcusable doesn't mean you can't have sympathy for the person and situation.

Yeah! F em! Give em to the state! And no more abortions either! (figure out the sarcasm and hypocrisy yet? ;))

I work with a woman who knows her and she's told me some ugly stuff people have said. Like "I bet you didn't forget your phone" and I know it's messed her up (obviously) very much. With as busy as everyone is nowadays, I can see how it happens like Troy mentioned, you get in a routine and most of the time you are on auto pilot for the day to day stuff so anything outside the ordinary is easy for me to forget to do. Hell, I do it all the time, be heading home from work or out to eat dinner etc and completely forget to go where I'm supposed to be detouring outside of my route home. Did it not too long ago with the inlaws in the back seat coming home from dinner. My girlfriend was like, "uhhh where are you going, we have to take Mom and Dad home." But I have some short term memory problems from a TBI I had when I was a kid so maybe I'm just odd. No kids to worry about, but doing it on accident would be so hard to face as a parent... Or the other parent!

Missing an exit or making your mistake is not leaving your kids in a hot car unknowingly. Doing it on purpose is child abuse and doing it mindlessly because you aren't paying attention to the most important person/people in your life is way different.

Well considering the ages of the folks in it, it was stolen. So, are you saying that the Altima is a easy to steal vehicle? Or is it just a popular and dependable car that costs less than similar cars like the Honda Accord?
Trashy people drive Altimas.
