Lots of interesting news today

But how is Uber at fault here?
It doesn't say directly but heavily implies that the driver was responsible for the crash that caused the injuries. If that isn't the case, then, well, there is no case

The more concerning thing is this notion that the TOS when ordering food from UberEats waives your rights to a trial for something completely unrelated that happens in the future.

Hmm @WARRIORWELDING how soon can you cobble up one of those mad max protestor5000Aussie roo bumpers for my truck? I have to run over to a coastal port town this weekend

I sure hope ya'll love Bidenomics so far because we are about to get a triple dose of it

The optics of crippling the supply chain while the Southeast US is attempting to rescue and recover from a disaster few could have imagined is horrible. To me, that Union is screaming “we demand more than a 50% raise and eff those hillbillies in Appalachia.”
At least keep the supply chain running long enough to get the hurricane victims and areas to a safe place, then you can continue your negotiations.

The greedy bastards want a 9% raise every year for 6 years to do the same job.

Pro Tip: If you are going to cut up a steel box for scrap, check inside first to see if there are 200 sticks of dynamite in it.

Holy shit, can you imagine, lol. Good thing they were smart enough to stop and investigate.

"The caller said someone was cutting the hinges off an unmarked metal box using a torch and saw some "odd smoke."

The signs are a waste. Nobody changes their vote based on the number of signs they see.
I had this discussion the other day. I’m with you that they are a waste. But what was pointed out to me is that there are people that just see a name and remember it when reading the ballot and mark it because it’s familiar. Dumb as that is, apparently it’s a thing. And the fact that someone is that dumb and gets an equal vote annoys me.

Definitely a thing.

However - no way its a thing for the Pres ticket bc you'd have to be deaf and blind to not know the two primary candidates already. Thats the 1 case where name recognition doesn't mean squat.

But for the local races where nobody is paying attention... definitely

That is crazy.
