Lots of interesting news today

It all depends where you live and where you are regarding housing needs. Whats the difference in the cost of your home today vs when that first kid was born?
Around here I know so many people that are spending 50% of their income just on housing. Overt he last decade the amount the average family has as disposable income has dwindled a lot. Throwing a kid into the mix is a serious struggle..

I do agree that the priorities have shifted and people do not value kids as highly as they used to, when making the struggle was considered worth it.

its not the cost. they are popping them out like rabbits while staying at home and somehow they make it work

Must be a lithium deposit under town for the government to have created that weather system like that
Based on what I can see, it was actually all created by the auto and housing industries to try to stir business ;)

No telling how many folks have or will get scammed up there. Had a tree company get my great uncle a few years back local here in high point. Let’s say I didn’t need the AG and he got every damn penny back. I’d hate to be a true reputable tree company working around all of these sorry ass people out here.

This didn't apply to either of the guys in the article, but it's interesting nonetheless:

“Raise the age," passed in 2019, meant 16- and 17-year-olds were no longer automatically tried as adults in North Carolina. Law enforcement officials said gangs were using the law to recruit teenagers, saying they would not face charges for committing crimes.

Their claim is backed up by data. In 2019, juveniles under the age of 18 committed 978 violent crimes in the state. In, 2022 the number more than doubled to more than 2,300 crimes.

Can someone please explain this phrase?

"An estimated 22 cars were damaged, and around 12 were hit by gunfire, although no one was injured."

Where did the other 10 cars damage come from?
Probably from Jamarion and Jacquez running on their hoods or breaking mirrors or something. Or maybe others fleeing.

The headline phrasing 'cowboy style' is offensive, as most cowboys hit what they are aiming at.

Should be edited/corrected to "'No excuse': Macy's employees' cars hit by bullets in 'hood-style' gunfight at Crabtree"...........but then someone would have to burn the TV station down

Give me a crank window over a potential burnt out motor/switch anyday. Damn I miss my 85 F-150 :(
