Looks like BAMD picked us...sure hope that moves back east and the other models don't join it.

Looks more like a glancing blow to Wilmington area:

Either way, remember the average diameter of hurricane force winds is 100 miles, gale force winds 300-400 miles.

We're booked to stay at Carolina Beach on the 14th/17th. With all the rain we've had from here to the coast lately, lot's of trees will be falling if it comes close to or onshore :eek:

8am Tuesday update....HWRF model now agreeing with BAMD. Don't like that...

edit...foxhurricane doesn't rename images, so above earlier image displays from cache...don't want to bother rehosting, so here is a link to latest imagery for the models: models_storm3.jpg

Jake is on spring break next week and we were headed to myrtle beach for a few days,not so sure now.

I am supposed to be at Cape Lookout starting of 10/14 for a week of fishing. Even without a direct hit I bet they close the island due to flooding. I sure hope not

Shit.... BAMD, the worst possible route would be the one it'll take.

Run quickly! Stock up on beer and TP!

They're giving rain all the way into Erwin TN for the weekend off this storm.

friday is gonna be spent loading equipment,supplies, and moving it to my side of the Nuese River so if water lines wash out,we can head out and get them plugged.

@AdamH they closed it today.

I bought a generator on CL today. Been meaning to for a while, better now than Friday or Saturday. Hope it's a good one, Yamaha 6600 watt electric start. I figure since I bought it, we won't lose power. If I didn't have one, we would certainly lose power...
