NC4X4 Hunting and Fishing

Munchkin said "hunt", which is a big deal as it's a new word. So, building him a blind!

Hung another stand. Wind is swirling up here so I’m not hunting this afternoon.

Last minute deer blind is up for munchkin. Was gonna take him today, but he decided a nap was more important lol.

Anyone got a setup for skinning deer suspended by a crappy metal carport? I'm debating on whether my run of the mill 18x21 metal carport could hold up a deer plus the weight of me skinning it. Or whether the added bracing would be worth the effort.

He was a little over 350lbs and stanky. Used my winch to drag him out of the wood line. Of course my smittybuilt decides to quit on me while I’ve got 50 ft of cable spooled out. Looks awesome wrapped around my front bumper. Hopefully it’s a fuse, but I’m leaning towards the switch. It’s been acting funky for a while. I’ll probably try and figure it out next time I’m in a bind and need the winch.

Man you are lucky you got him first!!! Looks like he had a pretty nice rifle on him..

I wish I’d kept my boars skull for a euro mount. Other than that I don’t care if I ever shoot another boar for food, I could taste that smell in the meat!

I’m with ya. I just try and knock em down when I can. We haven’t had a major invasion yet, but guys are seeing more and more on game cameras. I don’t want my club to get overran if I can help it. I try and do my part. Ruined my deer hunt though

Took munchkin out this evening. Even the damn mule knows we're here lol. But he's having a ball.

Keep at it or your deer club will soon be a hog club! @SPOA87YJ

View attachment 361942Highly advise killing every one you see by any means necessary or your club will look like this
Looks like you have a tannerite shortage. A 5 gallon bucket full right in the middle should be a good starting point.

I can smell that greasy bastard through the pics. Nice score though.

It’s a much bigger issue than that. That club is a perfect example of what happens when a place gets over run with pigs. Few deer and seemingly endless pigs.
I would give my left  to become a member of a club like that. Heck I would never shoot a deer or turkey.

Wonder if any clubs offer off deer/turkey season hog only options?

Shot a decent 8 point yesterday around 5:30pm. Should have been an easy day. Get the deer, drop it off at the processor, be home for dinner. Noooo. Jeep got stuck whilst retrieving the deer. Many hours later, I finally get freed, thanks to a good buddy, and make it home by 1am. His truck got stuck getting me out, so it turned into a double recovery. Outstanding evening. Nonetheless, I have deer meat.
