I hate to sound so ignorant but are these quail, grouse? I can't see what they are but your dogs look like an old brother in law's quail dogs that he kept at my house for a while. I thought that quail were pretty scarce. Sorry, I'm not a hunter so I just don't know. lolWe still at it up here. Over 60 birds flushed

Saw a deer running through the field while I was dumping limbs on my brush pile. I could make out outline of another head through the grass, turned out to be a big coyote on the stalk. Made it back to the house and grabbed the 270....had to rush a shot offhand sitting on the tractor as it was jumping back into the wood. Found some blood but I figure just got it in the back end.....
