I said a 3XL earlier but I'd spring for 3-5 t-shirts and a couple NON-ZIP 3XL hoodies. And in about a year I'll need some large - x-large ones.

If it is going to be screen printed, then I'd say keep it at 3 or less colors...otherwise it's going to get expensive. fwiw.

And Like Braxton said, To many colors and the cost goes through the roof, We just had club shirts made and two colors aren't too costly.
