Random pic thread.

This truck pulled up beside me a few days ago. Thought of you fellas.

Watched some ospreys doing touch & goes while working on some solar farm meters in Washington, NC today.

Those are the most sketchy flying contraptions I’ve ever been in. Rode in one a few years ago for a jump. Whenever they transition from vert to horiz. on the props it is a pure come to Jesus moment. I couldn’t get out of it fast enough to let gravity and a parachute made by the lowest bidder fight over my life.

I will agree with that, on my first ride I’m pretty sure I shit myself just a little bit.

When I lived in Lee county they use to fly tree top level over the house. A guy I know in the corp said I was in the low level flight training path.

I didn't realize how loud those things are! And I think taking the pic put me on a list because I had 4 jets flying over me repeatedly in La Grange later in the day!

I'm going to need more info since I'm looking to move to the Lee county area next year.

Lee County South Carolina? Because that is what I'm referring to.
Negative...Lee county NC...nevermind!

I'll be glad to fill you in on the good/bad of this area sometime, just drop a PM. Handful of other NC4x4 members close by that I'm sure would do the same. If kids are a consideration, @oscar80 probably has a better handle on the schools.

Toyota South Africa

Land cruiser namib not available in the US market, but they’re about $70k plus getting it home. Solid axle, some have dual tanks, pretty nice interior for what it is, and diesel option.
Would gladly buy that over a Jeep Gladiator if I had money to waste. Especially in the diesel option.

That’s near me too. I actually think it’s a 24 hr corn machine

Yea man, its just across the river. I live off of old 421 right at the wilkes line. It is indeed a 24/7 corn vending machine. I still remember parades on the old bridge and fishing in chatham pond.

I was asked to deliver a gift surprise early this morning.

Agreed. You should try fast roping out of one. Instead of going straight down like on most rotary wings, the crazy rotor wash kicks the rope at an angle and it’s like riding a zip line only not as fun. You’ve got to send your biggest dude down first so he can do his best to anchor the rope all the while he catches hell until everybody makes it out. Those things have a bad rep for crashing. At least early on they did.
