Three miles from the farm on the way home with the last load of hay for the day. Feeling mighty good about what I got done. Rapid unscheduled disassembly.

Moral of the story: you gon learn today.

I try to never even think (much less say) that things are going good. Almost always ends in something stupid coming up. We were hauling hay back last year and got about 5 miles from the farm. Thought to myself, this is going great and I'm glad we're bout done. Hit a 4" long 2x4 with one nail in it and lost a trailer tire.Aways something.

phrasing implies you had your shit together to begin with, which is debatable
Don’t worry, no good deed goes unpunished.

Minisplit drain is draining 90% of the time, then randomly will have a stream of water pour out of it. I think it might be a crack in the factory drain pipe because it looks like it’s coming out from between the pipe and the insulation.

I thought several times yesterday about the whole concept while I worked all day welding. Granted is was my own stuff, but non the less it was labor. What's that phrase? Love what you do and it's never work but play? Sorta, but not entirely accurate.

That place is crazy. The homes they're building up there now have insane foundations
Million dollar foundations.

My parents built up here 15 years ago. I don’t recall exactly how many, but it was something like 15 or 17 dump truck loads of gravel to fill in under the 3 car garage when they were doing the foundation.

Or there’s others that the entire house including garage are floating off the side of the mountain. Like the Ferris Bueller Ferrari garage, but these are 75+ feet in the air.

We did a layout on one were the "basement " walls were 20-30' high because of the slope. It had to be anchored both horizontally and vertically

Building a house like that sounds unwise
