RCV 300m inner star, RIP.
I bought the ASTRO 1442, used it one time, friend borrowed it, and broke it. Company sent replacement parts for free but I haven't put it back together yet. It does look like the same tool with more mandrels for less money.I’ve learned over the past few months that if I park stuff in our amazon cart, my wife will randomly buy them.
Today, this showed up.

I’m fairly certain that box was covered in covid. You know it's from China when the replacement mandrels are only available on eBay, and they ship directly from China.
I saw one of those in action probably 15 years ago somewhere in VA.Pretty cool to see them work.
We have transmission lines running through a field on our property. When I was a kid they landed in the field to fuel and we got to see it up close.I saw one of those in action probably 15 years ago somewhere in VA.Pretty cool to see them work.
The handful of times I’ve needed to install rivnuts, I made my own tool.

Are those Anal beads for the staypuft marshmallow man? Or is that one of the tree saw contraptions from The World is not enough
It'd be neat to track their movementThey're anal beads
I saw a helicopter flying near the house the other day with something hanging from the bottom. I wondered what it was. I bet it was one of those.....

You'd have to have some nads to fly that thing right next to a set of transmission lines.
Sometimes they'll de-energize the lines, but as long as you don't exceed the Minimum Approach Distance (MAD) you'll be fine. You'd have to have some nads to fly that thing right next to a set of transmission lines.
No path to ground, so you should be fine. You'd have to have some nads to fly that thing right next to a set of transmission lines.
