People regularly post OBS when referring to Old Body Style for pickup trucks. My question is which generation? There have been about a dozen different body styles of every brand pickup. Anything other than the current production one is OBS in my view.

Well for Ford trucks, the term OBS didn't take off until the 1997 models came out....to refer to the square body gens. Now I understand when someone says OBS ford, I know that they are talking about.

97 F250 and F350 were OBS. I had a 2002 Lariat I bought new and a 2000 Expedition. Never understood the hate, were great trucks.

57-66, and 87-91 are horrible ugly abominations of vehicles (visually anyway) but the 97-2003 are dead to me (PT cruiser of pickups)

You are thinking of the light duty F250s. They made OBS Powerstroke F250s in 97 also.
