Random Thoughts.....

Why doesn't Milwaukee have a line of two-way radios called Milwaukee Talkies?

I think the N.C. DMV needs to add to their license plate lineup. They need to have an outline of a short bus or a helmet. 99% of the handicap plates with a wheelchair do not apply as it is not a physical handicap it is a mental handicap when they are driving.

The number of times per day I see a handicap tag, and I say ‘they’re handicap must be driving’…is truly an astounding amount.

WTF is up w/ people joining in to virtual meetings 10+ minutes early. On Teams you get a pop up when somebody joins into something on your calendar... so you know who that guy is. I'm not talking about the leader, just a random schmo.

It says to me "this guy doesn't have enough to do."

I get being punctual. I also get being early in person, especially if it's on another floor, building, whatever.
But virtual... we all know you're just sitting in your living room doing wtfever anyway.
Don't show your hand dumbass.

Do not listen to *good* 8d music in your earphones while driving. Damn near put my truck in the ditch when the it started switching sides.

We've got a few repeat offenders at my work who do this, lol.

You have to join the meeting early to yell into the mic and make sure you are double muted. This way when you say, that is dumb as hell or wtf over and over, you know they can't hear you.

Or just be a man and say it. Can't stand yes men.

In an office setting for me…but I have so much going on, I’ll dial in whenever I think about it…which could be hours in advance. The problem here is, sometimes I still forget about it, leave my office and then just have a meeting call blasting in my office. But I’m logged in (and on mute and never with a camera on) so I get credit for being there. If it’s a really important meeting, or something I need to speak on, usually my admin or one of the managers will come track me down.

1) I hate FedEx
2) but when the hell did their tracker start lying to you? No the f*ck it wasn’t initially expected on the 26th. Not from the second the I placed the order, it’s always been the 24th, until my package didn’t move for 12hrs.

And the fact it hasn’t moved…tells me I’m probably out a few hundo, until it shows up who knows where 6 months from now.

Feb 12, 2020. But at least it still has real info. UPS just says pointless stuff like "in transit" but doesn't tell you when or where it's been. The data still exists, but you have to use 17track.net or similar to access it.

About like eBay “your item has shipped” no mofo, the sorry ass seller printed a shipping label to be used at their discretion

While i agree,
I guess you are self employeed if you have never said yes to a stupid idea. Im just glad i left the corprate / fortune 250 world i was in.

No. But I do voice my oposition if I have a logical and reasonable objection. They may override it, but I wont just shut up and go along just because it was so and sos idea. Of course, that explains why lower management likes having me around and upper management despises me I guess.

I had the exact opposite.
Package shows delivered and it's not here.

I freak out, call Fedex, the lady tells me "oh, it's normal, the driver probably marked it as delivered and will actually deliver it tomorrow".

Sure enough, it was dropped off the next day.

Fucktards.

As I get older, music just becomes more and more apart of my life and old songs I've heard for years, hit me differently. Example: I've heard the song "Lightning Crashes" by LIVE hundreds of times. I hadn't heard the song in probably 5 years till about a week ago, and man... the lyrics haven't changed but damn does that song hit differently now that I am older and actually listened to the lyrics. Same with a bunch of other songs, that just seem to either get better with age or are just timeless.

"If" by Bread
"House of the Rising Sun" By The Animals
"Californication" - By RHCP
"Take a Picture" By Filter

Just a few songs that I have been listening to that seem to never get old

How is that acceptable to anybody?

I’ve heard they do that (especially usps) to avoid write ups or whatever disciplinary action happens for them not delivering on time when there’s no excuse. No idea if it’s true.

Maybe I'm crazy... but I'd think that getting busted for saying you'd delivered a package when you hadn't should be a much bigger write-up.

Right? I've had Amazon customer service tell me the same thing and my next question was, so it's cool with Amazon if the driver lies?
the talking heads on TV lie.
the president lies
senators lie
the gov/mayor/police lie
Bezos is a moron

Why can't a common everyday person lie?
We get what we vote for and what we deserve.

Fed Ex subcontracts out about 95% of last mile or home deliveyr. Despite bing in a fed ex truck and a fed ex uniform that dude/gal isnt a fed ex employee.

And fedex pays the sub a substantially different rate depending on how fast they deliver. They built the system the abuse was just a logical conclusion
