Re-doing my Bed Camper and making a toyhauler

after that it was time to see how it fits..

so we put it in place to make sure this will actually work and it does :)

next is to start trimming off the opening with flashing and do some more bracing and finish work.. then comes the hard part.. getting the canvas to work correct and figuring out how to seal this hole :)

It's going to look like the fawking Clampetts coming down the road. You need to make sure you've got someplace to bungee Granny's rocking chair. :flipoff2:

Ya know, you can buy those fold-out things. I think Cascade Designs makes them.

I always liked that show :)

damn I knew I forgot something.. now I need to find a rocking chair :)

That's a relief.

So no intervention now? I've got other things I want to do tomorrow....

I dont get the slide?? Is it just to have a table poking out the side?

it will be an extra bed room for my son to sleep in.. so we can leave dining table up all the time.. as I get more done you will see

Dude you know I been there when those crazy ideas start flying. One night at Bal-Hai BRUISER starts talking about diesel trucks and fryer oil and next thing you know I got a Benz on Grease.

Camper looks good dude.

Well My dad helped me last night get the edge framed in then we put plastic vinyl siding over the edges to help seal them.

Still lots more to do :)

here is the bed slid all the way in
100_5283.jpg

slid all the way out.. the tilt looks worse then it is.. plus the supports that go under it are not there.

From inside with bed slid out..

well I had to modify the support bar, then I washed the old canvas(still needs more washing) and then got it up and tested it to see how it will fit..
It is not perfect but to me it is not worth the money to have it cut down to fit perfect.. maybe down the road if it works out good in the long run.

Here it is looking from front to the back

Looking form the back

Do not mind the dark area that was still wet from me washing it.

another angle to show space from inside.

next is to work on door that will cover the hole when slide is pushed in

looks good... is the door going to fold up or slide?

the door to cover hole will flip up to open.. which will help cover the canvas and keep rain out. I am loosing a window from that side of camper but gaining a bed room.. :)

hey that's looking good.

Liar.

Tell him he's making good progress, tell him he's gotten a lot done, or it's coming together quickly.

But don't lie to him about how good it looks. Ken can see right through that shit. :flipoff2:

So the trailer tongue survived the trip to your house, despite the cracks (and Keith)? :)

dats a HUGE trailer.

yup I went for a 24' and came home with a 38'

hehehe.. my wife was not the happiest camper when she heard how big this one is.. :)
