Round 2: Keepin' up with the Joneses, Mud Devils and Tony Woody

When details matter, super glue it back together 🫤
Bought a USB-12 volt charger 4 way outlet thingies a couple weeks ago and decided to install it this afternoon. Luckily, I dropped it and broke the voltmeter pod. Instead of getting a new one, I just applied some zip tie technology and finished the install.
Now when I'm videoing @ghost winching next time, I can recharge my phone afterwards 😃
I also ordered a custom cam from Camshaft Innovations to replace the RV cam in it now. It runs really well, but there's a ton of power left on the table.
Anyway, getting it ready for the next trip here soon and keep on kicking ass.

3/4 race cam??
AKA: hawg ass cam
Joking aside, $500 for a literal "down to the smallest detail" cam is maybe $100 more than trying to match one up.
CI sent me a 3 page form to fill out so they can make exactly what I'm looking for. They've made me a couple back when I was racing NMRA and I couldn't be happier with the results.

You mean you won’t have to foot brake the Ranger the way the YJ needed it due to “hawg ass cam” 🤣

@Jody Treadway Agreed! I've always gone with a "custom" grind. For a few bucks more than an off the shelf one, it really ties the room together!

FWIW, I generally use Martin Smallwood. Used to work for Tick Racing. Smart guy and will under promise and over deliver!

Well, haven't really had time to do any wheeling, so my truck has sat since September 😕. Damn work!
It wasn't running great recently and I knew it was time to address it. Randomly it would chop like a 3/4 cammed Big Block and then clear up. Turned out to be a loose connection at the MAF connector. My harness is a 4 wire and I use a 6 wire MAF (internal IAT) so it utilized an adapter. I soldered in a new 6 pin and called her done.
Went ahead and pulled the fuel pump, replaced the pick up sock and cleaned inside the tank.
It was smooth but a little rough at idle. Vacuum gauge showed low vacuum at idle, so a valve adjustment and timing check was in order. 13* FTW! Swapped in a fresh set of wires and plugs for good measure.
The rear suspension was a bit too low and would bottom out on occasion. So I changed the air pressure and added a little oil to thee rear Foxes and the ride is reminiscent of a could of tits. Perfect.
She smooth and ready to wheel soon. Gonna try to hit Gulches here soon and plan a GER ride too.
