Round 2: Keepin' up with the Joneses, Mud Devils and Tony Woody

Shipping out my spare C6 to get fully hooked up. Turnaround is about 8 weeks currently.
I'll swap it in and the new cam when it makes it's round trip voyage to Fletcher.
Until then, this 40 year old unit will keep getting the job done.

Is that the one I sold you at the Flats many years ago? If so, I had to cut about an inch off the output shaft so my Atlas would slide all the way on. Just FYI.

That's the one! Still got it. Watford has the 5.0 that came with it.
I'm running an Atlas as well, so we're all set there!

Going to the Ranch this weekend with the Mud Devils and Tony Woody. Sadly, no Joneses.
Spent the day replacing a noisy heim joint, tidied up some hoses underneath, assembled a spare set of chromo front shafts, organized my spare joint/heim box and added a tail pipe. I forgot how loud a Magnaflow with a turn down is.
She already for a whooping in the rain next weekend.

Timely, assembling a set a of spare shafts/joints myself and was thinking of ways to protect the splines... kinda "stash them and forget them" fashion?

Was thinking Plasti-dip or some conformable machine tool dip, but not sure either are "water tight" enough for semi-permanent?

There's probably a more scientific approach. But I happened to have had a roll of duct tape rolling around the spare parts box. Now I have plenty of extra tape too.
Bicycle innertube works good too!

GER recap.
Truck kicked ass all weekend. We hit all the good stuff both days. Friday it rained on and off all day and there was a ton of traction. No issues with the truck and we all had a good run. Saturday it was slick'ern crap. The rain ended overnight and there wasn't anything to wash the snot off the rocks! Burped a bead at one point, but aired it back up. Took all the high lines on Cripple Creek, both directions on Leo's Den, crushed some doors on Shadilac and Ice Cream Hill. All in all, no issues all weekend.
Decided to hit Rubicon real quick Saturday before supper, Ran into @tw89yj, @farmboy and PJ. Needless to say, the trash talk ensued after Travis cleared a buggy line in his JK. I attempted to navigate a blue school bus through it as well and made it to the end before pulling a front brake line in half after a limit strap streched a bit.
Peer pressure can be a bitch but so can wheeling with ZERO brakes!
Cliffs: truck did everything I pointed it at. Satisfied customer and ready to wheel again as soon as a $14 braided AN hose arrives Wednesday.

Spent a good bit of time on my side last weekend. Never did install an oil pressure gauge in the truck. Figured it would be a good time to do so. Used the 60" AN hose to connect it so no issue with copper fatigue or nylon hose melting. The mount is choice. I'm quite the fabberkater.
When thousandths of an inch count, I'm your guy. When a well placed self tapper will do, it'll do😆.
Got the hoses replaced, power bled the brakes and called it done.
Let's wheel.
