My crossmember was bolted to the adapter and then had poly bushings at the frame rails...also poly motor mounts. If it wasn't such nice weather.....I wouldn't even mess with it for a long time. This shit is getting old. I'd just put an sm465 in it but I don't want to mess with the clutch and new mounts.
I would probably make some sort of an xmember to go off the back of the 205 then. Support that weight at the very back so there is nothing hanging off the back of the case that isnt supported in some way. Even with the xmember bolted to the adapter there is still a lot of leverage on the back of the transmission case. Supporting both the adapter then the back of the transfer case should reduce any torque on the back of the transmission.
