This is a bad ass YJ. I feel stupid for selling my old one and getting into a shitmissile XJ but such is life...

Took the yj to Good Evening Ranch and had a blast.

I decided to try a buggy line in the playground and that was a mistake as I trashed the chromo shafts. Broke outer and inner shafts in half.

That ended my weekend as we could not get the inner shafts out. So I just road passenger with others.

After I got home east coast gear supply got me the shafts I needed.

I tried everything to get the shaft out with no luck. So my son Corbin reached in and pulled it right out. Small hands on a kid is a win.

Jeep is back together and ready to wheel this weekend at the veterans ride.

Last thing we had to fix was the winch rope. When I was on that line where I broke I also broke my winch line. Well @Black Bear helped me fix the rope. He did magic splicing and it is all fixed.

After smashing stock yj fenders it was finally time to upgrade

well after the last wheeling trip I decided I need to see better so I cut the dash and will be lowering the dash roll cage bar so I can see better and so the kids can see better when driving. will make a new dash plate, new roof cover. also putting in a new fan with shroud for better cooling

that looks to be a lot better without the dash pad and getting that bar down.
I went back with oem clutch fan and shroud and couldn’t be happier with it keeping it cool with the louvered hood panel to let all the hot air out

On my current YJ I ditched the dash pad and put the bar down lower and it made a massive difference!

If you still plan on running a windshield on the road, keep in mind the location of the wiper motor. I set my bar below the wiper motor and the visibility on the trail is so nice.

Well decided to do some maintenance and found transmission mount was not connected. Oops

So fixed that and found leaking tranny cooler line.

Fixed that and had to fix the exhaust that I ripped off.

Now I need to fix dash and front cage

I guess I have been beating on it a little to hard

Have a trip coming up in Oct and since the Comanche won't be done time to put some work back into this

Broke winch last time out so today started to fix that

List of fixes needed: rock rails, cage, winch, rear fender flares, rear axle leak, roof and probably more I am forgetting
