Well I've worked three long evenings on wiring and I found out I still hate wiring. But the majority of it is complete. The only things I need to do is install a radio, CB, and rock lights. Those will be simple.
I did get my fans, ARB locker, compressor, rock light, acc switch, and push button start all wired up. I wanted to keep the dash looking pretty slick so I went w/ Carling swithes to match my ARB switches I already had.
As far as relays I bought some fused relays to make it simple so I didn't have to install inline fuses. They worked out great.
I also installed a master kill/battery switch just incase things ever get hairy.
Doing all this wiring I figured I'd go ahead and build all new battery cables too.

Glad to see you put the kill switch toward the passenger side... I will feel much safer riding with you now! :flipoff2: Oh yeah... and nice work!!!

Had you in mind Don when I put it over there. It will be a stretch to reach it completely strapped in but it's out in the open where anyone can shut it down if need be. But the passenger will be able to reach it easy.

OK Hate to have to say this but,..... Kenneth, it looks, well,............ Very nice. I like it, a lot!
One thing I might do different would be to make studs to secure the panels on with, with maybe some nice thumb nuts or wing nuts to take them off to access the back. My reasoning is, the bolts will eventually fatigued the plastic and not be able to tighten. Also, since you have that side looking so bling, go ahead and make overlaid panels of the same material to cover the rest of the dash. Won't add a lot, but should be worth at least 2 more horse power!

Great job!

Thanks Chip. I was planning on replacing those screws just trying to figure out w/ what exactly. Probably just some stainless bolts and nuts.
I've also got my aluminum cut out for the other section of the dash but I need to cut the holes for my speedo and tach. Will probably be hole sawed.
I'll finish that later. Right now I need to finish up the skid plate, get the exhaust done, and work on my winch plate.

Headed to the garage now to start on it.

Was thinking about going w/ the guys to Harlan in two weeks to break it in but I'd hate to mess up someone else's weekend if something isn't right on it.

I guess today was one for my record book. I worked 19 straight hours on the jeep except for a quick lunch and dinner. Hopefully there won't be anymore days like this one.

-Front seat belts completely finished
-front upper control arm shortened slightly to correct caster
-rock lights are mounted and wired completely
-skid plate fab work completed (needs painted and installed)
-Hi lift jack is painted and mounted
-tightened all control arms completely

I'm sure I did more but I'm just to tired to think.

Thing is Don, he has a show jeep sitting in his other garage. It's beautiful, I have never seen it move though.

I did not know that. So-o-o-o, what other secrets are ya keepin' from me Junior?

Yeah I do have another one. It's an '85 CJ 7 hard top on 35'' boggers w/ a few little shiny things on it. And yes I've not driven it in about four or so years. Main reason is I think it blew a head gasket and two if I'm going to set out in the hot sun it sure won't be at a car show.

Maybe I'll pull it out of the garage and take some pics when this one is completely done.
