The Shitbox - That there's an RV

Well, it's been way too long but I finally got back to work on the Shitbox this weekend. Painted the counter & started on the cabinets.

Nothing overly exciting but slow progress is still progress. I spent all weekend painting šŸ˜«

Got the cabinet doors removed and applied 1500000 coats of paint and decided to try something different for the bathroom door - pleasantly surprised how well it turned out.

Then I got a wild hair & decided the ugly ass brownish door wasn't going to cut it. But I was too lazy to go back to the store for more paint & opted to use a metallic silver I had on hand. Needless to say, it's a little extra & I'll be grabbing a less fabulous shade/finish of gray to re-do it šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

We picked up the flooring today & I think it's going to be absolutely gorgeous with the funky colors!

I got the bathroom cabinet painted & hung the doors above the dinette area.

And my favorite from today - let me just say that hands down, @Mulishajoe is the absolute best! He started on the backslash & I love it!!!! Unfortunately, I struggle counting 2-potato sometimes & underestimated how much I needed so it'll be finished up once my beloved Amazon driver comes to see me šŸ¤—

@Mulishajoe finished up the backsplash & it's freaking gorgeous šŸ˜

My dad helped me make a new wall panel for the dinette area - he cut & routered to make it look like shiplap, I made it pretty šŸ˜

Not picture-worthy odds & ends:
-Removed track & ceiling trim since I finally got the go ahead to do the ceiling too
-Painted interior window frames, screws, outlet covers
-cabinet catchies & futon delivered

Nothing too exciting this weekend. Installed a few windows frames after repainting & rescreening.

My sweet baby boy decided to be my "helper" today, completely oblivious to the fact that he takes up the majority of floor space šŸ˜‚

Oh and remember to exterior door I tried to repaint? Well, @Mulishajoe decided to take off the hardware to make it easier to sand & repaint. Yeah. About that. Turns out, some of the wood inside rotted...add another to-do list item šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

Glad to see this! My first job with the company, 44 years ago, was a screener. I have done a well over one million of them while at it. Some days would do over 1200. We were paid by how many we got done back in the day and I made good money for the times.

Started on the bedroom this weekend & removed the dry rotted wood/paneling to better assess for any water damage. Luckily all the boards are still solid so we won't have to remove the big window. It seems it's limited to the old paneling :)clap:) so no further repairs will be needed. Once that area was cleaned up, we started on the new ceiling & lights. Pictures don't quite do it justice but the new ceiling looks 100000000x better. But now I may have to paint or replace the off-white ac stuff that's killin' my vibe šŸ˜‚

Back to work now that it's not 100000 degrees! We got the futon installed on sliders & put up the new bedroom walls today. We discovered some issues with the wall paper & tiles sticking so @Mulishajoe is in charge of gluing the shit out of them so they stick better. I think we'll be working on trim next & then tackling the bathroom. Hopefully we can knock those out quickly & get the flooring installed.
