Truck Night in America

Tonight at 10 on the history channel! We can all laugh about the Peacock here live! Lol
And again at 11 b/c History doesn't have any decent programming to fill their time with

No cable here either. Just suckered into Sling TV by the wife.

So, "peacock guy" is Glen Plake. He is mostly known as an extreme skier but has done some Baja and stock car racing. Not sure why he keeps the multi colored hair but it is part of his trademark. He used to always have a mohawk.

While he has crazy hair, he is a pretty cool guy to hang around with.

These NC4x4 guys didn’t even know pistol Pete, no way was I even going to start trying to tell them who Glen Plake was.

I used to watch a lot of his extreme skiing. That’s what got me into backcountry extreme skiing when I was younger. Good times.

I tottaly didn't realize that was the same Glen Plake! I grew up with the k2 poster of him on my bedroom wall.

Yeah the fall from a dope ski bum icon to "drummer for 4-non-blondes" was obviously a rough one.

I'm pretty sure cables are still involved.
No cable TV involved, as stated above. Certainly no coax distribution cable.

Wrong. Totally wireless just talk to a AT&T dot head sales agent and they will surely tell you it is.

Exactly. I use Sling to watch shows on my phone getting the data via cell network.

"cable" is just one manner in which the network content owner (in this case History) gets the signal out. But its not the only way.
Unless you want to make the cop-out argument that cable means "getting there via wire at some point" in which case even OTA broadcast is cable.

How many episodes have aired so far? I wanna watch.
two, #3 is tonight

And it isn't like you need to have seen the previous ones. I'm sure they're all the same goofy shit.

Not gonna lie...that last race/loop/challenge at the end of the show looks like a blast...with the exception of the sheet metal/junk yard pile...a rock pile woulda served the same purpose and, ya know, followed the off-road theme.
