Turbo Solid Axle Tacoma Build

I ran a set for 5 months and had them at 7-8psi, on tons. Definetly a stiff sidewall.

Did they still conform pretty good? I don't have as much unsprung weight being on landcruiser axles so I may have to run them lower

Looks great Jacob. Enjoyed the visit yesterday. Gotta drive the yota up next time.

Thanks bud! Thanks for having me. It failed the highway test so I'll l have see about driving some back roads down or I'll just throw it on the trailer.

Not in my experience. I hope they work better for you. I would think they'll work better than the iroks. With you running the road there really aren't a lot of options out there.

Day tripped down to Gulches yesterday and had a good time until the truck caught on fire. A clip holding the harness against the firewall let go and the harness fell down on the turbo downpipe. Fire is my #1 fear when it comes to the truck and I've noticed that so many people don't carry fire extinguishers. I'm glad I spent the $30 on one. Truck may not run but at least I still have a truck. Got some good pics and vids I'll try to get up later

Coming out of shipwreck. What a mess that was

Palmetto Crossing

Coming out of Shipwreck after a massive burnout that @ObeseFieldMouse conveniently didn't get on video haha

Thanks to @ObeseFieldMouse for helping me get this thing running again. We cut out the melted wires, soldered in new wire re-routing the harness away from the turbo, replaced 2 fuses and it fired right up. I added a turbo blanket to help a little with heat as well.

Got a few things today. UPS driver hates me I'm sure haha

I thought about it but I figured if I'm going to do it, I'm going to DO IT. There's airbump in the little boxes too ;)

I see your im Winston as well.. I saw you at uwharrie this weekend (white one ton xj) do you have anywhere ykh wheel in Winston ??

The xj on tsl's? I remember checking it out rolling through the double parking lot. Unfortunately I don't know of any local (legal) places. Would be nice if there was somewhere closer than Uwharrie.

Walmart on hwy150 area. Yea I love your truck lol. How about you?

Nice you're not far at all. I'm on the northern end of university up around that Walmart. You wouldn't happen to have an obd2 reader would you?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. I can build stuff but when it comes to electrical I'm an idiot.

HELP with 3rz no start

Well it runs again thanks to @ObeseFieldMouse and his magic. He was troubleshooting this thing over the phone and found a section of wire with very high resistence causing my no start issue. We spliced in a new wire bypassing the bad spot and it fired right up.

On another note I'm going to tons so if anyone comes across or knows of a kingpin Chevy d60 I'm in the market. I already found a 14 bolt for $200

Just makes more sense long term IMO. Gives me room to grow if I turn the boost up or want to go to 42's or even just 40" stickies. Yes, my cruiser axles have been awesome but I still worry about my birfields when I'm really getting on it. My truck is ~4400lbs with me in it and my wheel tire combo weighs in at a whopping 164 lbs and because of that I don't have 100% confidence in the birf even though they are RCV's.

I'm also wanting to go full width and to do that with what I have I'd have to go diamond or ruffstuff housings and that's $2k for housings and $900 in custom shafts plus the $3k that I already have in my axles and I'm $6k into them when I can build a 60/14 for $4k and get my width, more strength, greater steering throw.

There are people unloading built lp 60's to build 14b fronts so keep an eye out for one. Could save you some in the long run.
