Turbo Solid Axle Tacoma Build

Still haven't decided for sure if I'm going that weekend yet or not but I'm going to try. Headed down to Gulches the weekend before that so we'll have to see how that goes. If I end up going I'll hit you up, would love to check out the buggy!

Drove down to SC today and picked up some new meats for the taco. Mounting my iroks was easy but getting them off the wheels is a bitch.. probably just going to take them to a tire shop to break the other 3 beads and zip them off the wheels. Unless somebody knows a trick that I don't

Thanks to @mcutler for the tip, ended up working out much better than I expected. Got all 4 tires dismounted

Came across a brand new set of creepy crawlers for cheap so I picked them up. Been wanting to try something new and for what I paid I figured I couldn't really go wrong

Here's one compared to my iroks. The creepy is not mounted and the iroks has about 10-15psi in it

I think the creepy are the best dot tire my buddy has them and there almost as good as my reds the stickies are crazy

Nice you Wana sell the irocks I got a buddy looking for some tires

Yeah they will be for sell soon but I'll be honest, they have been used and abused. Plenty of rash, superficial cuts, and two of the beads have some damage. They held street pressure great but had a slow leak at trail psi but I think it's my beadlocks leaking. Didn't have any leaks before I built them. I have 5 tires, 4 of them are 13/32" and two are 11/32.

I have a buddy that needs some tires so I'm going to ask him but I don't think he's going to want to go this big.

Good to hear! The tread pattern reminds me of the bfg krawlers and the lugs are super soft so I hope they work well. Only complaint I've seen with them bad traction on wet rocks

The IROKS were great tires on my rig. They definitely don't like heavier rigs...and they aren't hill killers...but really did work well for a trail rig. I'd looked at the creepies several times along with the treps but the thickness of the sidewalls kept me from going that route. My rig only weighs 2700lbs loaded ready to ride so getting those tires to work like I want would have taken some work. They should work really well on your truck...

Airsoft bb's or no airsoft bb's in the Creepies? I had none in the iroks when they were on steelies and it had very little vibes until you got to 65-70 and then it still wasn't bad. Put about 10 oz of bb's in when I built the beadlocks and the truck felt like it was going to come apart when you hit 60-65.

Yeah I know. I does good around town but I can't do the speed limit on the highway it's so bad now. Before bb's and beadlocks I could run 70-75 pretty smoothly

Doesn't look like I'll be mounting these by hand... suckers are stiff!

Jk... put my purse up and got them knocked out

But you put them on backwards...

j/k

They'd be going to the tire shop haha. I checked them a couple times to make sure the tread looked the same both ways so I didn't screw them up

You weren't lying about these sidewalls btw... suckers are stout! Had to straighten out my tire iron a few times

Finally finished mounting the creepies last night. They look damn good, hope they go damn good too haha
