Dad brought some of his garden cabbage on vacation. Got the recipe from our neighbor a few years back and knew my fam would love it. She called it Lechke. Cabbage, onions, butter, salt, pepper and some homemade noodles. I coulda ate the whole pan by myself.
Fish market had fresh not frozen swordfish, so, that's what for dinner. Sous vide 130 for 45, bagged with olive oil, lemon juice, thyme, fresh ground black pepper. Will sear on the grill when done.
Met the new neighbor the other day and he asked if I liked mushrooms. Wasn’t sure how to answer at first since he was wearing this shirt.
Turns out they were chanterelle mushrooms that he had foraged. Momma wanted some eggs and onions tonight, so I cooked the mushrooms to throw in mine. Solid.
