What have you done for your health today?

Or everything you quit in week 1.

Seriously though, I look at it as more of a reset than a complete future lifestyle.

I thought it was additive? Like once you gave up week 1 they were gone, etc.

Joined F3’s Healthy Eating Challenge. Six weeks of cumulative fun:
Week 1-6: no fried food, fast food, processed snacks, desserts, soda, sweet tea, cheese (except cottage), cream sauces/dressings
Week 2-6: no red meat
Week 3-6: no bread
Week 4-6: no pork
Week 5-6: no white starches
Week 6: no dairy

I’m just glad my work trip is before they cut out white starch so I can get my noodle bowl in Chinatown.

What are they suggesting you DO eat, and how much, if you are also training like the F3 guys have been posting?

Good question for the later weeks. Today I had avocado with capers, onion, chili flakes and olive oil for breakfast. Turkey sandwich and a banana for lunch and cantaloupe and cottage cheese for dinner. Wasn’t hungry enough to grill up some chicken. I’ll make it up as I go along but definitely should add more vegetables.

 I could probably do ok-ish without most of the stuff listed 1st. But week 5-6 would be a deal breaker. I love my post-workout noodle bowl on Friday nights!

This week we started weighing/measuring out our food intake. For the past 4 weeks, I've just been eyeballing portions. Last week, my weight didn't really go down at all. This week, I'm down another 1.5lbs from Sunday after measuring everything out. It only takes a few extra minutes and the results are starting to show. Going to stay on this fat loss template for two weeks or until my weight doesn't change. If it doesn't change after two weeks, I'll be heading to the third cut of the program. Still going strong, no alcohol since 1/1 and little to no cheat days. We went out to Chima for restaurant week here in Charlotte. I ate a lot of greens and a lot of meat but didn't overeat. Woke up the next morning and was still relatively the same weight +/- .5lbs. I'll take that as a win.

Sorry @Mulishajoe, but your lady just said she could do just fine fine without meat.

I say that and I'm married to a vegetarian o_O

Tried to get back to my training for an upcoming 12k trail run Feb 9. But only 2 miles in the cold weather and recovering from the flu (quit taking meds Monday) I cut the workout short as I was coughing up a lung and the body just wasn’t ready yet. Guess I’ll stick to indoor light workouts on the treadmill or elliptical machine until I make better progress on recovering from the flu.

Good news is through the week of the flu, with keeping an eye on my food intake, I’m down just 1 lb from the prior week.

Good for you! I can work out, but I’m not disciplined enough to throw out some of those foods.

I think I strained a muscle in my arm this past weekend as I cannot lift my left arm out to the side. So I haven’t done anything this week. I plan to run with F3 tomorrow.

I find it easier to give up food than make time to work out. Sadly it takes both. I’m going to hit a different post Saturday. Davis Lake is having an F3 Dads version so I’m dragging the girls out. Thanks for the heads up on the whole F3 thing. It’s been fun.

Well I’ve been simply killing myself since last post and had to take some rest days in between, added some weights into the mix focusing on deadlifts, overhead press and squats! Ive not lost a lb since last weigh in tho still at 214.6 but feeling stronger everyday I go hard, I may have no more weight loss bc my cardio is lacking but Muscle is def getting stronger then has been in last 10 years so I’m good with it!
My eating has slacked off a little, but also I’ve been fasting some and trying diff eating habits, still trying to clean eat but easier said then done. I’ve focused a lot on eating lighter amounts and more regularly instead of large amounts and only 3-4 times a day!! So far no injuries from my craziness but finding myself not being able to sleep as much as I usually do bc of stiffness after 5-6 hours asleep!?? Not sure what’s going on there but after quick stretch I’m good for rest of day! Glad so many folks sticking with this, it certainly helps to motivate me knowing so many other people are hitting it hard too! Keep it up Nc4x4!!

I ate a veggie burger...

I'm not proud. It was more by necessity than choice.

Muscle is heavier than fat so hopefully you're bulking up a little and losing the fat.
