What have you done to your rig today?

I'll be honest, I'm pussin' out of lions den. Want more seat time with the new set up before I trust it to get through that shit bath.

I did wash the turd muffin today, may address the leaky rear axle tomorrow.

I won't put my rig in Lion's Den. No desire to trash my pass cowl area. Plus, it's a huge time waster IMO. A ton of time is spent standing around that could be spent wheeling.
YMMV.

Still trying to crash the CTB party in Harlan next weekend. Tranny cooler relocated. Gonna come into the shop Sunday afternoon and spend (waste) a few hours hopefully wrapping up the rear.

Take your time and do it right. Show up sunday morning (or saturday night for sweet meat and dog beers). That way Chris can command the ride in a functioning rig saturday, and he, phillip, and Joe will be free to follow you and break as much as they desire on sunday :smokin:

Finally got started on fixing the truck after it hit the tree. Got the whole front pulled off to replace the rad, condenser, and intercooler. Sure wish I could buy a direct bolt in intercooler. Well, there may be one, but I'm not paying 800 for one. Ordered a superduty one to retrofit. Replacing water pump and finally doing the kdp while the front end is off.

New verses old tips from my cb antenna. Lost the rubber cap on top of my fire stick at potts and decide might be time to replace the rusted adjuster.

It could use the timing bumped. The screw is turned some and it's got injectors and a 16 cm exhaust housing. Probably did that 2001.

I don't even think I bumped my timing. Did a Denny T Stage 1 fuel pin, flipped the starwheel over, took it all the way down and 4 turns up, ground the top of the diaphragm stop, full power screw all the way to runaway and then backed off a hair, 7x.011 injectors, a Hamilton 181/210 cam, and a 62/71/14 turbo. 56 lbs of boost is pretty fun :D

Hey how do those headlamps work? What brand are they if they do work well? My CJ needs a set of something.
Mine are the gen1 morimoto sealed 7 headlights. And for the money I think they are great. Only $75 each. They just plug and play with the 3 pin connector but you might have to do a little trimming to make them fit in the buckets.

This is a really simple mod, mostly posting it in case any other TJ owners have the same issue. Any time I park my TJ on the slightest incline the 3 point seatbelt locks up. That's especially troublesome off-road. I've had to do obstacles before without a seatbelt because of it. That's definitely not ideal. I also have no interest in running a 5 point harness, so I decided to install a lap belt for these emergency situations. I discovered that 97-01 XJ Cherokees use the same style seatbelt latch as a TJ. The back seat has a center lap belt, and makes a perfect lap belt in a TJ.

Looks like this:

You just need to cut off the useless latch:

And then bolt it to the floorboard where the seat mounts. When you're not using it you just tuck it between the seat and door:

Great Idea, I will definitely have to do that, ran into that a couple times myself.

You don’t have to trash the cowl. Just have to hit it right. Which I’ve never personally been successful at.

Swapped a new bad fan clutch on my Rubicon today. About 11 months ago did a complete cooling system service along with new water pump and fan clutch. Had the Rubicon get hotter than normal a couple times over the past month at slower speed. Put the good factory one back on it and it’s good to go. Don’t buy one of these POS.

Shifter linkage repair on wife’s Sienna. She went to leave today with two kids and neutral was all there was. Back to normal after I modified a clip I had laying around. Why make the original out of plastic?

Driver side window motor went at the beginning of the summer in the wife’s Honda Pilot. Now the back passenger took a doodoo. Just waiting on rockauto to get me the goods. It’s got 280,000 and climbing. All the little ankle biters are starting to fail, but luckily no major repairs. It’s been a great car.

You can use wood shims to wedge the window in the up position for time being..
