What have you done to your rig today?

Added some bling to the tow pig. Stealth mode.

The old badges were looking kinda faded.

Last minute trailer maintenance fun.

Last trip the brakes felt like they were kinda soft. 3 of the 4 adjusters went smoothly but the last one was locked up so off came the hub.

Also got a phone mount for the Jeep just in time for Harlan.

I'm riding solo, so there will be nobody to filter out my excessive shat talking.
Wheeler beware.

Replaced both front wheel hubs on my dads chevy after we noticed a whining sound and vibration. Passenger side had about 1/4 of play in it. Totally stripped a my 15mm socket at some point in time so I had to go get a new one. First time I've ever stripped a socket.

Installed an overhead light for the upcoming task of repainting the roll cage, and the general convenience of night/early AM hours work. I was going to go as far as wire it up 110 with a fixed light with LED bulb. But.... As I started shopping around, found a deal at Lowe's right now on 2000 lumen waterproof LED Craftsman work lights for $25, so hell yes. Basically I dissasembled it enough to flat mount it to the runner beam. Its right on the other side of the big hackleberry tree from the 6'x6'x2' fire pit, so its a place to do drunk honky stuff.

Everybody needs a place to do drunk honkey stuff.

Heim joint swap on the clutch master and new bushings for the pedals on the F350 work truck . It's gonna be so much nicer to drive now that it actually goes into gear.
Rear wheel cyclinder decided it needed to start leaking while I was working on the truck so I guess I got swap that out tomorrow, or not.

You really should get a car seat for that little girl in the middle. That's not safe.

Stick on sandpaper wasn’t cutting it...

Worked on my CJ yesterday, one day I hope to wheel this thing. Nothing wrong with it when I got it I just like piddling on them more than wheeling methinks. I pulled the body lift off of it and put new poly body mounts on it. I put poly motor and trans mounts on it, and last but not least I painted the grill, put new the headlamps and dimmer switch in. I need to weld the tubing back up for the stinger and grill guard where I had to cut it out to take off the body lift but it did get some sunshine!

I spent this weekend working on both my trail rig and tow rig. The 7.3 had a bad fuel leak at the fuel bowl. I'm pretty sure after doing some research that this thing has been worked on before for the exact same issue but whoever did the work last time didn't do a great job at prepping the seal surfaces. Leaving the residue from the previous o-rings caused a bad seal on the new ones. So I cleaned it up good and replaced everything. Also added a riffraff frx and used the gold spring for a little more fuel pressure. Hopefully this will yield some better mpg's and longer injector life.

Tore apart the rear axle today to find the issue and fix the ARB locker. This is the 4th or 5th time I’ve had the axle apart in about as many months. Leak was coming from inside the locker this time so took out the carrier, tore the locker all apart and cleaned everything to be brand new looking. Replaced the ring gear bolts because there was sand all in the threads, replaced the seal housing o rings and the bonded seal. All is good now finally.

The front will be tackled next weekend. Front has bigger issues. Copper line got blown into the diff and ring gear caught it and shredded it and broke the seal housing. Some pics from this weekend.
