What have you done to your rig today?

Tore it down and found the bearings that are no good in my crawlbox.

:( it’s an 05. I’ve been on blasting that lower bolt for the last few months lol

Worst case, you can cut through the lateral link bushing between the upright and the link, and then replace the bushing after the bolt is free. Or replace the upright, depending on what's actually frozen. I've had to do both on various cars. I've had more problems with the bolt freezing in one of the bushings than the upright though.

Bought a 30 mpg car last week because my 10 mpg truck is killing me.

It's in great shape considering I paid $1,000 for it. (But I feel like Mr. Incredible getting in and out of it.)

I just did the same exact thing. Went from a 11.8 mpg V10 to a 30 mpg 4 cyl Corolla. It feels like a little go cart around town. Other than the AC doesn't work and one tire leaks down every week and almost 300k it runs great.

Steering finally wore through the oil pan on my new dd. I had already order the (wrong) pan and pick up tube, just putting off changing it. Of course I noticed it dripping at home and not my shop so I had to lay on the ground. Got the 5vz pan today and hopefully the windage tray tomorrow.

The last couple of rides, kinda played havoc on my passenger side cowl. Whis on my Jeep presently, is the only part that doesn't have any body armor. At least for now, it's coming, thanks to a local guy, who happens to have a YJ, and a plasma table. But, more on that later.
So with all the damage, unless I wanted to ride around with it looking like crap, my only choice was to fix it. Keep in mind, I am not a body guy. As a matter of fact, I have never went to this extent to fix anything. I even went and bought a hammer and dollie set . I even watched some video's on how to use them. On top of that, I even made, well I had the idea, and my son made it come to life, an additional tool for straightening sheet metal. Dollie set didn't have a bug enough flat piece, so a block of wood was brought into the mix.

So, here's what I started with

After I did some cutting

And then onto trying to get it hallway straight. Keep in mind, all of this is going to be covered. So it didn't have to be perfect.

I went to Greensboro Saturday and picked up a donor half Jeep tub to fix my carnage. It had a hole in the cowl, where it once had a cage going through it.
We cut the hole out a little straighter, and made a patch panel for it. Only had my flux core welder here, to stopped before it was finished. Gonna move the Jeep to my son's shop, so we have better welder. But, I think it came out pretty good. And yes, when this is finished, it will also be covered with armor. So no need to make it a body shop style fix.

The pile of scrap from what I cut off

It's gonna take a while to get this completed, but, as with about anything we do to our rigs, it's going to be better, stronger, and I hope, look better.

Until next time!
