What have you done to your rig today?

Gassed up the ORIs which was a mind boggling experience. I don't think it's supposed to be this way but I've got four different pressures. Whatever, it sits level.

Ground out a place in the crossmember to give the driveshaft some more clearance. I don't think I can flex it out to the full 14" but it'll get close around 10-11". I'll probably get some limiting straps later.

I need to get the exhaust fixed Monday but other than that it's small stuff....I hope. I'll be interested to see how the shakedown run goes next weekend.

I thought you were  I was really hoping for some recommendations on essential oils.

I was but I gotz no tow rig anymore, my junk ain't together and I've totally ran out of time.

But hit up Derek, he knows the essential oils I recommend (take 2, sit down and enjoy the ride)!
Don't feel like you'll miss anything from me. I just got mine slapped back together. I just hope I can make it through the weekend without catastrophic failure. This is my shakedown run so we'll see. I may end up packing it up and heading back if I all goes to shit.

Well hit 5000 miles since I bought the Jeep and originally changed the oil.

Changed with a Mobil 1 filter and Supertech synthetic. Rotated the tires and checked all fluids. The thing at now 185k didn’t use any oil in 5k miles 👍🏻

I traded my daily driver in. (A 2006 Dodge Ram 2500)

For a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500. Bighorn package, Night edition. And substantially more MPG's.

Needs a 3" lift and some bigger tires though.

Drilled two more holes to finish mounting the winch bumper. Welded on some d-ring mounts. Ditched the stacks in the bed and moved the tool box back to the front of the bed. Reworked the exhaust with some stuff I had laying around the shop. Changed the fuel filter...I either have a condensation/rust issue or need to clean out the tank/replace it with a plastic one. Finally put the rear view mirror back on for the first time in about 10 years. Lubed up all the door hinges, latches, tailgate latches, and the hood latch. Pulled the passenger's side door panel to see what was wrong...broken roller. It's a shame plastic won't last more than 35 years! Messed with the dash lights so I can see the speedo and fuel gauge when I'm driving home from work. I hate printed circuits. Changed the horn because it died and I had one left over from when I wrecked the Dmax a few years back. Charged up the crap-tastic Optima red tops with the one amazing thing they make...their Optima battery charger. What else? Umm...checked the tire pressure, blew out the cowling with the old air nozzle, and then filled it up with fuel and added some fuel additive.

Just need to add the last section of tail pipe to get it all the way out the side/back of the truck and likely add one more hanger.

Oh, and the right rear wheel cylinder is leaking. So I've gotta pull those heavy ass hubs/drums off again. Luckily, I still have a bottle of DOT 5 sitting around. Just need to pick up some wheel cylinders and I might as well change the gear oil while I'm at it.

It was a productive day and the weather/temperature was awesome. It runs/drives much better and I think I could actually hear the radio if I ever turned it on now that the stacks are gone!

Finally looked at the steering setup on the K20 and figured out why the turning radius was so awful. Not sure which is worse…the PO who did it or me for driving it like this for months.

Fixed it and I no longer need a football field to turn around in.

Did you put led bulbs in? Those look pretty bright. I need to get the dash lights sorted out in my truck. Currently my dash will dimly light up, but after a while it will go out completely. Tail lights go out with it. Might be in the switch, I'm not sure. I need to get it sorted out so I can see my 10 mph off bouncing speedo and fuel gauge...plus its just weird having no lights on the dash.

Nope, just regular 194 bulbs. Took some 320 and hit the tabs on the bulb holders and bent them out a little to make sure they have good contact. Oddly enough, the speedometer isn't off very much...maybe 5 mph.

Finally cobbled together some more bits and pieces of 4" stainless exhaust pipe I had laying around, added another hanger, and even used a snazzy exhaust tip. It's fancier than pants on a bullfrog :D It's sooo much quieter in the cab and even straight piped, not loud at all really, but it does sound good. I love everything about it.

Changed the oil too and FINALLY made the power steering stop leaking after 13 years. I just needed to give this top 90 degree fitting one more turn...it's the little things 🤷‍♂️ The brake pedal immediately felt better as well. Who'd have thought hydroboost works better when it doesn't have any leaks in the system?

Kinda sad I lost the whole build thread on this truck when a previous forum I was on shut down. There were so many pictures in there that I lost. I didn't have a fancy phone with lots of internal storage back then. Such is life.

Oh...also helped my buddy put these west coast mirrors on his old Dodge. It's a universal kit, so it took some tweaking, but once we figured it out, they turned out pretty nice.

Opened up each frame rail to pressure wash 50 years of shit out. Also cut out some rot where the muffler has heated, cooler and caused condensation inside he rail. Then started cleaning the outside of the TH400 in preparation to reseal all external gaskets, seals, o rings.
