What have you done to your rig today?

@ramjo helped me wrestle this hunk off at the junkyard this morning. Needs a new floor and some other metalwork but I’m happy to have found it.

Swapped out some vac lines and an O2 sensor on the DD Avalon. Hopefully that makes the CEL happy and I can get it inspected.

With the cj7 topless the exhaust stinks and the drone was pretty bad on the highway. So I welded the cat back in and found some old exhaust stuff and booger fabbed the exit out the back by the shackle instead of dumping in front of the rear axle.

Went and snatched a set of 5th wheel rails, I wanted a B&W, but I don't have B&W money, so rails will do the job for now until I scrape the change together.
Anyone got a 5th wheel hitch or a gooseneck plate?

Yukon 35spline hubs, every fluid and filter in it changed. Extended road test from Thomasville to Greensboro, around Greensboro and back home (about 50-60 miles) even with 7.17 gears she'll cruise at 65 turning just below 3k RPMs. Nothing leaked, no issues at all. So far this has been a pretty easy rehab.

Too wet to cut hay this morning so got some unexpected shop time.

Ripped out the stock steering and drop pitman arm that made the TJ really wander a lot. Tons of bump steer too. Trac bar/drag link angle sucked. The stabilizers did nothing for it. Replaced it all with a stock pitman arm and Currie steering. Even with a tape measure alignment it’s much better.

Removed the stupid shift interlock solenoid in the K1500. It was getting bad. Now it shifts silky. I can't believe that anyone would buy and replace one.

Got it off the jackstands and put new wheels and tires on it.

Original AMC Scrambler bed mats sell for $1500 give or take a hundo depending on location and condition. Since my ‘83 is a restomod that is driven I can’t see spending that kind of money.

Picked up a generic DeeZee mat off Amazon for $90 and went to work with a utility knife. About an hour later….

All I wanted to do was put my sweet, baller rims on the Tahoe but came across this when doing so :shaking:
