What have you done to your rig today?

Installed a new window motor assembly. At least it goes down now. Needs a little help going up. Guess I could show it some KOH videos. Rrrrrrr

If it was a parts house motor or regulator, that's the issue. I replaced on in my truck and it was worse/weaker than the worn out stock one I removed.

Had to pony up for an AC Delco part from Rock Auto.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if that's what the problem is. That and I'm too lazy to do anything else about it. Plus I don't want to waste that freshly cut tie down strap.

For the first time in a year and a half I actually drove my Samurai!
The post Covid brain fog has given me occasional disorientation.(I get lost while driving) so I can’t drive by myself, so wife and I ran errands with the top and doors off.
I still love that stupid thing! Bought it new in 1987.
But I struggle a lot to get in it.

Not my rig, but my buddy's. 2015 LML 2500HD LTZ and has the Z71 package. Super nice truck. Comfortable, quiet inside, very supple and equally firm ride. It is also now, basically, a rocket. These things have damn good power in stock form, but I installed a 5 position switch, loaded some tunes, and repaired some emissions equipment for him. When he got it, it already had a 62 gallon Titan fuel tank and fifth wheel rails. He added an air intake a few weeks ago. I think all that's left is a CP3 conversion and it'll be a super solid and reliable truck.

It's kinda wild that with tuning only these things will throw down 520hp and around 1100 tq through the stock exhaust!

Good lord, yall. I've wanted one of these trucks since I helped him find this one and now I've got the itch even worse! I know me though. I've already figured out that you can change the tailshaft housing on the 11+ Allison to one from 01-10 for a 6 bolt transfer case, which I'd need for an NP273 swap. WFO makes solid axle kits for them. Yall see where I'm going with this...

I finished up the 2015 on Sunday...finally. He's happy and I'm happy it's finished.

I changed out the stock downpipe for an aftermarket one and put in a new passenger's side up pipe to get rid of the EGR stand pipe with the bellow in it and what not.

I think the only things left to do to make it rock solid and reliable is some new intercooler pipes and a CP3 swap. Who ever thought making a charge pipe out of plastic was a good idea? GM...and Ford...and I'm sure others. That's who 🙄

Slow start and the occasional stumble in the YJ became a full on run like shit mod. Fuel pressure gauge said no/low fuel pressure. Worked backwards and found both the frame mounted filter and pre filter slap full of crap. Cracked open the fuel cell and there was similar black chunks in the bottom. Turns out the pickup tube was coming apart internally and sucking itself shut when the pump would draw fuel beyond the prime cycle. New pickup teed to reach both sides of the cell, filters and blown out lines it ran…then with good fuel pressure it found every rotting section of rubber hose between the pump and rail. Another problem for another day.

The wheels look familiar lol

Despite red being my favorite color, it did clash with the black and silver lol. Had to scuff them up and give them a cheap coat of battleship gray.

What size are those?

It's usually the first cut that's the hardest to make, not sure with this one... Maybe you can cut out a wrinkle or two. :driver:

It won't even be the first time I've cut on it this year haha. They're 39s, but they make the 37s that we're on it look like 35s.

The 37” iroks I had were effectively 35” tall so….
But 36" Iroks were 37" tall. And 38" SXs were about 36". WTF. Interco quantitatively sucks at tire design.

Well...my idea of 5" and her idea of 5" aren't the same either.

The 39s measure just over 38" at 20psi, the old 37s were a little less than 35". I even remember thinking the 37s didn't look that much bigger than the 35s they replaced. Either way, the fender is occupying the same space the tire needs, so Sawzall go brrrrrrrr.
