Nothing today, but Friday, the wife and I ran around doing errands and stuff in it all day.
Topless, doorless, I remembered why I still have this thing after 33 years!
Friday morning, I drove it as is ...... while a home midday, I tweaked the idle and lean best setting ...... ZOOM ZOOM!!

Threw a cheap tip on the K3500. I thought I was going to hate it but I don't think it looks too bad, doesn't sound too bad either, good enough for a 6.5L at least.
It's not too truck-ricey is it?

I think they get a bad wrap because they have been associated with the brodozer crowd for so long but a properly sized exhaust type can make or brake an exhaust note IMHO.

It's like a 4 to 7" I believe; it may be my ears just being shot from being around loud equipment for so long but when I'm getting on it the growl of the engine out the exhaust and through the tip almost sounds like my friend's LML Duramax; probably my shot hearing though.

Kinda wish it was a little bit longer so it would be tucked further up, the step down from tip outlet to inlet always looks a little goofy with big exhaust tips IMO

Not mine but the wife’s. A couple weeks ago we were helping a fellow vet farmer deliver a couple heifers and her truck wouldn’t shift into 4 wd. Didn’t really need it but didn’t want to tear up pasture getting up the hill. After some diag earlier this week found out the tcase shift motor had shit the bed. Looked around and found a TRQ reman for $75 on Partsgeek.com. Everyone local was between 175-384 😳 (napa -oreillys and all the other parts houses). Got it in today and 20 minutes later we have 4wd again!

2012 ram 2500 with the BW 44-46 tcase.

To the Gladiator. Trailer Brake controller, light bar and CTB plate. I had to weld tabs onto the bull bar to mount the light.

Replaced the front right hub in the ram tow rig. All the abs lights came on and code reader said that wheel speed sensor was "erratic" sure enough it had a little slop in it. 2 hours later no more lights and a new hub. Other one is probably about done to. Got 180k out of the factory ones though.

Replaced the passenger side valve cover gasket on the CJ big block again. Think I finally sealed it... We'll see

I found a random "no start- dead as a doornail" issue.
I found it Saturday ...... the wire supplying 12v to the starter relay was just laying in the connector at the battery post.
Straight wired it to the terminal clamp and voila! ( that's French for ..... wah-lah ) it working now.
Now I think I need to remove and clean an re-build the ignition lock cylinder.

1977 CJ-5 that HAD a Chevy 250 in it. Today I dropped the "interesting" fab job on the motor mounts... Now to decide if I clean up and reuse or replace, 304 going in soon

@MattRRT I've got the frame mounts off my 85 CJ7 I just took out with hardware. Had a 258 in it, but look an awful lot like those you have pictured. If you're around blounts Creek or Edenton you can have 'em

AND I'll try to glue/stick fix the shitty headliner that's falling off.

Pointless. Once the foam deteriorates, it'll never stick. Go ahead and gut the interior, pull the headliner, and take it to an upholstery shop. It'll surprise you how expensive it isn't. Just make sure they wrap the material around the edges and glue it on top around the perimeter. That way it won't sag above the windshield and windows again!

I had the one in my 02 crew cab done for less than 200 bucks. Totally worth it :D

I need to sort out the visors in my crew; since it's an LS trim truck it's got the loaded visors with mirrors and courtesy lights on both sides. Well one side the whole mirror and light assembly has been ripped off, and the driver's side the lid is broken so the lights won't shut off, found that out when the damn batteries were drained before I really started driving it. The red truck is the same, only one side has the mirror though.
-----------
Slapped some tow mirrors on it, I scored a new bed and I'm on the hunt for new doors now, not viciously looking but I've got an eye on a few partouts on Marketplace.

I had lost the lockup in my 700r4. After some troubleshooting, it appeared to be the lock up solenoid. Dropped the pan and checked everything out and it WAS the culprit. Back to using overdrive again!

it's super satisfying to diagnose and repair black magic auto trans stuff ain't it?
Nice work bud!

Transmission repair is voodoo and I won't be convinced otherwise.

My red truck has had a hell of a transmission issue for some time now, no OD, the TQ converter acts up and makes the truck run like crap, misfires and everything all because the converter commands lock up; it will lock and unlock which results in the truck trying to advance or decrease timing to compensate for the trans = misfire city.

I'm gonna try and drop the pan to replace the harness and a few solenoids. But I do have a trans shop lined up just in case.
