Nice. It’s a win win. Now you got complete spares. It’s amazing the size difference in them. If hubs were affordable it’s pretty cool to leave hubs attached to spares so you just gotta unbolt the 4 hub bolts and roll. If I part any axles out anytime soon I will let you know and give you a hubThanks @Noel for making me spend more moneyI found them even cheaper on summit and they have them in stock supposedly View attachment 438525
Careful with summit, sometimes it says in stock then They tell you it’s back ordered and drop ships from the supplier and the suppliers inventory wasn’t correctThanks @Noel for making me spend more moneyI found them even cheaper on summit and they have them in stock supposedly View attachment 438525

Hard to explain the difference?!?I received both of the shafts today. One came from Atlanta and the other from Columbia SC.View attachment 438629
Put the rebuilt starter in, still nothing. All my grounds are good, battery is good, positive cables, the trigger wire for the starter is good, engine bars over freely; I'm stumped

I've vowed to be buried in this truck, so if it sits as a yard ornament while I figure it out so be itSell it to me so you don’t have to worry about it anymore![]()
The ignition module is a DUI one that's about 2 years old; I may swap a good factory one on just to seeI had ignition modules go bad in them that caused the same issue
Either that or v-band clamps at the joints.I can't ever seem to get those 3 bolt flanges to seal, even with the fancy soft aluminum gaskets, stacked gaskets, or whatever combination I've got at the moment.
Id say just weld it. If you have to take it out sawzall and then weld again... Beats leaking exhaust.

Hmm that’s kind of disappointing to hear. I liked the idea of being able to easily pull it apart if need be
Looks like a well thought out system, you ordered all the parts and clearly have a plan. I've only used those flanges at header collectors where there's lots of movement happening. Maybe they'll be fine where you have them, but since you haven't welded it up yet... Consider ordering the v bands and waiting to melt it together this weekend?Hmm that’s kind of disappointing to hear. I liked the idea of being able to easily pull it apart if need be
I don’t know your kick was a party bus?!!Finally put some sxs tires on the sidekick. View attachment 438905
I got some .23 wire so I can give it a go, but I got a local guy that usually only charges 2/300 for a full exhaust. But I definitely wanna get it figured out for patch work and converters. Looks like you just need to shift the trans over some for that to line up. Hopefully all goes well for you trying againI was wanting to post up here all full of myself that doing the exhaust was pretty easy just because @Noel said it always bested him.
Wellllllllll I was ready to start tacking things together when it dawned on me that I’ve had the transmission jacked up higher than where it will sit on the cross member this entire time. Once I dropped the trans down on the crossmember the exhaust hung low enough that it was holding the drivetrain up. Dammit.
Back to square one with the exhaust.

Also now that the trans is down on the cross member the bolt holes aren’t quite lining up, which is annoying. Was thinking it would be a tad more plug and play.
