What have you done to your rig today?

I put on a new bikini top, wired up my 30 inch light bar, left the ignition on which drained the battery to the point it will not start even with jumping it off, got my steering kit for Barnes 4x4 welded up then backed into my truck with my wife’s car busting my tail light.......the end

What the plans for the Muncie?

Putting it on the shelf for now, one man has asked me about buying it for his Tri-5 project, but he will want it for nothing. If you are interested, I have transmission, bellhousing, clutch assembly, and an almost new Hurst shifter for a bench seat, the whole enchilada for a 55.

I have always dreamed of building a 2wd CJ2A or a 3A with a small block so I might keep it for that.

Installed a leveling kit on my nephews ranger. He got it for Christmas. Local shop was gonna charge him $90 an hour. He’s 15 and doesn’t have that kind of money. I didn’t really feel like doing it, but it’s family. Took me about 4 hours in my garage by myself. It was kind of a bitch getting those springs back in with the spacers. A little jack and pry bar coercion was needed. I was being lazy and didn’t feel like renting a spring compressor.

Long day in the shop yesterday, still a long list of stuff to do.

Was going to rewind my winch cable today. Gave the hook to "jeepinmatt" & he hung it way up in a pine tree. Whatever! I started winding & dang if that tree didn't bust off at the ground & fall over! What a Mess! I made Matt cut it up with his handy dandy saw! Now, if it will keep raining, maybe the Mess will float away!:D

There have been many week nights and weekends spent in the shop since the Christmas party. @adamk and @77GreenMachine helped a bunch, no way it would've gotten done that fast without there labor and heckling.

Well I sure lost THAT bet!!

I was certain you would get distracted by "tons" and it would be August before we saw your rig on the trails (with a dana 30 front and 14bolt rear :flipoff2:)

I'm not even gonna think about getting tons under the Jeep till I have the axles built and tires. Still have many decisions to make on how I'm doing the tons as well, it's an extremely large can of worms that has been opened that needs sorting.

Got the brakes bleed at lunch and did FWD test drive. Dropping it off to have the exhaust done in the morning.

Fuel cell looks so good in the Jeep, way better than pretty much the entire Jeep.

Rear bumpstops?

Hard to see but I used the factory coil buckets up top just turned around, already had the daystar extended bumps in the factory mount. I've got more travel both ways but limited more by the shock than the springs right now. Using almost all of the 12" shock, I may go coil-overs down the road but I really don't see the need right now other than simiplisticish packing. The shocks also built in bumps. I really need to start a build thread.

Went ahead and got the leaking front output seal and did the rear as well while I was in there.

That's a pretty sexy XJ...as sexy as an XJ can be, anyway.
