Changed the trans pan as the old one had been flattened some by the Savvy skid.

So it got a new filter and fluid for a second time in less than a year. Then changed the oil, not really sure when it was changed last but I know it wasn't at any point this year. Figured I'd date the filter so I'd have some indication of how long it's been.

Then got the new Barnes 2" drop skid on. Then cut up the Savvy skid to bolt to the Barnes skid. Lost a little over a 1/2" of clearance but my trans pan and oil pan has an air gap under it for the first time a long time.

Still need to drill and add a few more bolts but it'll do for now. Thanks for all the help tonight @77GreenMachine and @adamk

Installed 4.11 gears and a Detroit in the rear 8.25 of my XJ. Added a 30 spline Grizzly and chromoly shafts up front with some used gears for the 30.

Gear pattern looks decent. You should consult a professional on the next setup.

This is what I get for being a procrastinator. Smh [emoji35] In case I think of being it repaired vs. just selling the ZJ, where's a good place in Asheville that could repair this for not too much $$? If I had a welder/could weld I'd do it myself. If it was a wheeler instead of a DD I'd get frame stiffeners.

Can’t quote price, but @BUCKEYE PERFORMANCE INC. is a good dude to work with.

After today's ride, some early dinner, & rest, I finally swapped out my battery. My 11 year old Optima, finally started giving me trouble. Bad cell I assume. That was the Good Original Optima, not the ones made now days. Installed a 5 year old Die Hard, that's kind of been resting & waiting. Starter is Spinning Now!

I took advantage of a little off time last night and today to get my new transmission mocked up for my old beater car. Took out a M21 Muncie and put in a new TKO600 with a scattershield. Trying to decide now whether to remove the old bellhousing motor mounts or just leave them since I am adding a crossmember under the trans.

Hardcore stuff going down at the house this morning. Replaced the broken dipstick on my XJ. Figured it was time to check the oil after driving it for 4 months.
Pro tip: when you forget your external torx sockets at work, Vise Grips become the universal Torx socket.

What the plans for the Muncie?
